Nap Time

it's really hard for me to get the girls to nap... at daycare they go right to sleep... and for grandma they go right to sleep... but for mama... all bets are off.

First Sydney needed to use the potty. Then Peyton needed to use the potty. No one actually went potty. 5 minutes later Sydney needed to potty again... and yes I took her... and this time she did pee a little bit.. but they mostly screamed and yelled while they stood at the gate - Finally all was quiet and i crept in for a couple pics....

they always manage to curl up together

so sweet, even the baby doll is between them napping

Cold Turkey

Who said Cold Turkey is the best way to go? Well I nursed the babies around 630 on Friday morning and went all day long without seeing them. I picked them up about 830 in the evening and we went straight home... usually I nurse the babies 3 to 4 times a day... I had gone all day, and I was sore... and yes... I nursed them when I got home... it was short and sweet.... and everyone was happy. So I think 2 times a day for right now... and that way the milk stops producing and I won't have as hard a time when I'm full....

Bianca and I took Kallie to puppy training today... it was great. There were lots of BIG HUGE GERMAN SHEPHERDS... and a few other dogs.... the big dogs (older) were doing the dog protection training.. it was awesome to watch..... In our puppy class there was Piper (visson - hungarian pointer dog), Riley (yellow lab), Kallie (german shep), Alexis (german shep) and Jaco (german shep). the dogs all played for awhile... it was fun to watch them them run around the puppy yard... then we talked and talked... and then worked on sit..... that was the extent.... it was more of a socialization for the first class... next week we'll see what happens.

We have Athena's bday today..... Chuck E Cheese.... I thought they got rid of that place... DARN IT

Today

This morning is officially my last nursing day. I decided with much encouragement to stop nursing the babies. So I nursed the babies for the last time this morning.... and I feel sad... I told them that the milk is all gone... of course they sucked me dry so it was all gone... but Peyton looked at me with a mischevious grin and said. "no, milk back later" Yes... that is what she said... So I held them and told them that they were big girls and they were going to have to drink milk from cups like big girls do.... they laughed and peyton said "no mommie milk" Now did she mean.. no more mommies milk.. or no I want mommies milk... only time will tell.. but I'm really gonna do it.. i want to say try.. but try means I could fail.. and I don't want to fail. Its time for a lil independence.... besides I might start traveling more for work.. and it will be nice to focus on me for a while.. my career.. or lack there of... I've been focused on my kids and family for such a long time.. I guess it's time for me....

wish me luck

On3 vs Sweet Spot

So today was my debut playing soccer on On3.... We played the hardest team in the A Division.... and what was I thinking... coming back after 4 years to play on an A Division Team??? I wasn't thinking really....

So I'm running late to the game... packing the kids in the truck... and Ben grabs my silver/white Nike90's... I haven' worn those shoes since I was pregnant with Kyle.. They are like new... I wore them for a season - 8 games... I was debating on wearing my rubber soled adidas or my turf shoes (the Nike90's) anyhow.. we are driving to the soccer fields... and I'm putting on my socks and shoes.. and the shoes are hurting my feet.. my TOES are cramped in those shoes... but I have no other shoes to wear... So I suck it up... cuz WTH else can I do...

I play left half, then I move to center half, then over to right half.... We have three subs.. so I sub a few times... I go for a header... a girl pushes me in the back and instead of hitting the ball with my head.. it's more like my face... Ben and the girls are watching from the stands... Sydney is crying, Peyton is yelling Go Mommie... it's quite cute.. but there was lots of crying because being so close to mama and not having her come to pick you up or kiss you... well they don't understand how they are usually number one and instead of rushing to their needs, I'm chasing a ball. One girl on the other team had the nerve to say SHUT UP ALREADY. When I sub out.. I visit with the kids and they are happy again. Ben and Bianca take them to the park.

Then after the half.. I'm playing right defender (fullback) I'm anything but a fullback... but how hard can it be to stand in front of the ball when they shoot and keep them away from the goal... Not very hard.. "well done Kristie" but at some point while playing back there I stop and try and switch direction and my toe smashes into the front of my shoe and someone steps on it.. There was no room for my toe to go in the first place.. UGH.... I tough it out for a bit then sub... I think my toenail is broken....I get cold on the sideline... but then I move back to center mid, and end up playing up quite a bit... but we lose 4-0...

after the game.. my feet are killing me and i can't wait to get those shoes off... My toes are PURPLE...the nails are purple Seriously I can cry they hurt so bad.. but my right toe hurts the worst - okay I really did cry... I'm a big baby. I'm afraid I'm not gonna be able to walk tomorrow.. and if I can.. what shoes will I wear??????????????

So this morning my right toe is still purple and sore.. my left toe feels alright... at least I slept. I am wearing my blue/white adidas today... I checked the size... 8... i check the size of the Nike90's... 6.5.... yes... you read that correctly. No wonder my feet are killing me...

Chaotic Tuesday -

(cut and pasted version)
Good Morning - at least I want to pretend it's been a good morning. So that's why I'm starting off with it....

The babies are absolutely nuts.... Sydney wakes up and the first thing she wants to do is potty.... her diaper is pretty wet, but nothing newly wet... So i put her on the potty and she sits for about 3 minutes, Peyton is talking to her and I'm trying to get ready. I had just got out of the shower and was trying to get dressed at least... I put a clean diaper on Syd and she refuses anything but her PJ pants... so i put them back on and they want milk.... okay yeah I know someday I'm gonna stop nursing... I keep asking myself what I was thinking by nursing them for so long... okay because everyone thought I was insane or didn't think I could nurse... so yes... I had to prove them wrong.. and now I can't stop.... I honestly need to go away for a weekend so my milk can dry up and then all i can tell them is that it's gone.... ~lmao~

okay so i nurse them quickly and then get back to getting ready.... then Peyton decides she needs to pee, Sydney needs to wash her hands, peyton doesn't potty, she needs to wash her hands, they want lotion, they are yelling and screaming because they want MORE lotion.... I'm getting nowhere fast... so I break and start to get them dressed... Peyton is done.. and then Sydney says she needs to Potty again.... so I take her diaper off.... and she's already pooped.. and the lil pellets go all over the tile in the bathroom.. at least it wasn't messy... but she still wants to sit on the toilet... So i put her up there... and she yells that she wants toilet paper, and then she wants a Kandoo.... and she doesn't want to get up... she must sit there about 6 minutes ~cries~

Finally I get her cleaned up, and dressed.. and she is mad the entire time, cuz she wanted to sit on the toilet longer...

Now we are going downstairs... they are dressed.... I'm sitting at the bottom of the steps putting socks on Peyton... Sydney is still crying.... wanting UP... I am getting their cheerios ready, Syd is wanting up still and screaming... tear slide down her cheeks.. I ask Peyton to please get their shoes out of the closet... I know there one pair of black shoes in the car and one pair of those darn light up shoes in the car... So I ask her to get the pink shoes from the closet... she does.. but she sees ONE of those light up shoes (can't find the other one) she is digging in the closet, I'm trying to get my lunch made and Syd is still screaming.... I console her for a moment or two.. and then back to getting my stuff all together on the island.... - I NEED TO DO THIS THE NIGHT BEFORE -

Im trying to put the pink shoes on Peyton, she's wanting that light up shoe... i'm going crazy... i just know it... I finally get Sydney socks and shoes on her feet.. Peyton now has her socks off.. she finds a white sock.. she wants that... I have pink socks for her... I don't give in... there is only one white sock that she found... I put the pink socks and shoes on her and then I have to run upstairs to do their hair.. I forgot... up and down the stairs two more times.. I tell them lets go see Kallie... and finally Syd stops crying... HOORAY... they talk to Kallie.. and I run and get the stuff from the island.. MINUS my lunch.... ~pouts~

ten minutes later I have the girls in the car and drive away.. but wait.. I forgot my sunglasses and badge. I drive around the corner and back home and pick the stuff up and go... I get to sharons and realize I left my lunch.... it's now 9 o clock... I drop the kids off.. tell sharon about my morning and night... well at least the part where the girls take off PJS and diapers and run around their room and won't go to bed.... then i drive home.. in the FOG.. there is MORE FOG.... get my lunch and get back to work at 10... I'm exhausted....

Kallie is getting huge

Thought I'd update with a few pics of Kallie

weekend update

Peyton started the weekend off great... She used the big girl toilet at grandma's house and then again at home. Sydney has been using the toilet all week long. She's doing awesome. She only had one wet diaper on Saturday. Then Sunday came along and I was gone all day long and so she used the potty a few times with grandma but mostly I think she used her pull ups... Darn

anyhow I had a long day on Saturday. I woke up at 545 and got ready for my drive to Walnut Creek. I met up with my cousin at church and then after that we went to his confirmation meeting/class. We left the church at 12:30 and met up with our grandma for lunch. It was nice to hang out and talk for a little bit. Then I rushed home to see the kids before I had to get to my Sharing Parents Meetings. I spent about 45 minutes with the kids and then off to the meeting. Got home about 730 and spent a little bit of time with the kids and hubby and then put the kids to bed. Then a nice soak in the tub to wash the day away....

Now it's 812 am... I should have been at work at 8... but Ben always makes meetings with the builder at times he can't actually be here.... So here I sit.. waiting for Mike the builder, wouldn't it be cool if his name was Bob.... and Ben to get back to the house. He is dropping Bianca off at school.... From here I'll rush to drop the babies at daycare and hopefully get to my 9 o clock meeting on TIME... it's with one of the big bosses... won't look good if I'm late...

New Years Resolutions

1. GET A NEW JOB
2. Be More Patient
3. Chill on the Starbucks
4. Not to feel Guilty when I do things for myself
5. Make my lunch
6. Eat Breakfast with Bianca every morning
7. Blog More

Okay well it's a short list, one I think I can handle. Let's see....

Turned in a resume, job application and a one page cover letter - selling myself on Wednesday...

Had an interview on Thursday for a CI @ DTSC

Friday I kept my house from flooding and tried really hard to be patient.... Haven't been to Starbucks in a week.... but I'm already planning on going next Sunday before I head to Walnut Creek to hang out with my cousins, aunt and grandma -

Saturday I caught up on Gossip Girl and watched the last 5 episodes of One Tree Hill (again) so I'd be ready for the Premiers...

Coffee is set to brew at 545 in the morning

Lunches are 3/4 complete

Bianca starts back to school tomorrow after being off for two weeks - I'm praying it's gonna be a WONDERFUL SUNSHINEY MORNING

and he said "there's water coming in through the weep holes"

and you ask... "what are weep holes?" Weep holes are those small openings in the bottom of windows and sliders doors.... well when the BIG STORM hit on Friday - rain & the winds were gusting up to 50 miles an hour .... Luckily Ben and I were both home... water started pooling up in the window pane (at least that's what Bianca is calling it). Okay we have this brand new house and water is coming in. I was so pissed, we went through over 30 towels... we used them in the windows to soak up all the water that was coming.... and yes... I have pictures.

In the Familyroom some water got on the carpet... damn I knew we should have went with the COLD tile everywhere...... at least the tile could handle the water. Okay so we have one window in the familyroom collecting and spilling water, the window in the kitchen also... plus the sliding backdoor.... it had water leaking from the top and bottom... and the master bedroom and bathroom were also leaking... see why we went through so many towels...

Did I mention a section or two of our fence blew down? Yes... smashing one of our side trees.... So Uncle Steven (Ben's Cousin) came over to help Ben put the fence back up in the pouring rain and wind... it didn't stay up, but thanks for helping.

Turns out that Uncle Steven's house was getting water too... and a couple of our neighbors too... Monday someone is coming out to inspect.....

During our storm fiasco.... Both babies decide they need to use the potty... I told them to hold on.. and well the next time I turn around.... I have one naked baby sitting on the toilet and one half dressed baby trying to push her sister off the toilet so she can have a turn - I'm running up and down the stairs to dry the water and trying to watch babies potty.... I thought I was going insane....

To top it all off the electricity went out and that meant we couldnt' dry towels... I had to drive to the in laws and pick up an extra 16 towels to get us through the brunt of the storm... by 430 the winds died down and the rain became more of a sprinkle.... and the electricty came back on.... I began washing and drying towels just in case....

So now we have clean and dry towels for the next storm

Pictures to come.

Mr Poopie

Sydney has decided she likes to "Mr Poopie" in the toilet.... We are very pleased. The last few times she's told me she had to "mr poopie" she's actually followed through with it. Today she managed to pee pee and mr poopie - the only hard thing is that when one baby sits on the potty, the other baby wants to sit too.

it's been a long time since Peyton has actually pottied in the potty, but she still enjoys her readers digest while sitting on top of the potty. I didn't have my camera handy for any of the festivities, but maybe next time.

Christmas Photos

Merry Christmas
After rescheduling our Christmas Pictures for the third time.... we made it to the Picture People with about a minute to spare.... of course we had to wait for three other sessions before we got our turn with the photographer. She was great. The kids all seemed to warm up to her after the first five minutes.... I wonder if it had to do with the temperature in the room. I'm thinking it was at least 90 degrees in the lil photo room... I was so HOT.... it was hard work trying to get all of us to look at the camera - didn't envy the photographer...
