it's a Rage Weekend

Bianca's soccer team - LandPark Rage - played in the Folsom Classic Soccer Tournament. We were in the Red Division under 12's... Saturday it was 105 in Folsom. The girls played great. They beat Prospector 2 Extreme 3-1 @ noon and then we had a break til 5 o clock. They beat California Rush Invasion 5-2. Bianca had two good games, she played left mid field both games, so she ended up with two assists, and a couple shots on goals - just no goals....

Sunday we played @ 9 am - and lost to Folsom Extreme 1 - nil.... So instead of playing for 1st place we ended up playing for 3rd place. We played Placer Spirit and beat them 2-1.... Bianca was playing left midfield the first game and the second game she got to play some right forward, some left middle and some left forward - she actually scored a goal.... only to have it taken away because a girl from the other team picked it up while she was in the goal, after it crossed the line and she threw it out - it was strange how the play unfolded.... it was a lot of girls all kicking for the goal, and a lot of bodies blocking the shots and finally Bianca's shot which a random Placer girl decided to stop it with her hands while behind the line of the goal.. anyhow the center judge talked to the lineswoman... and then after some debate he gave us a penalty shot instead of giving the guilty party a red card and us the goal.. anyhow it didn't matter cuz the penalty kick went in and we were good to go... The girls got really nice trophies.....

okay now the mama's posts on the weekend... Twins are difficult unless you're at home or somewhere we have boundaries.... a park... a soccer field - it's all open range for them... they wanna explore, they want to roam like wild dogs, they don't want to watch soccer, they don't want to let you watch soccer..... the MIL went to the games on Saturday, but it didn't make it that much easier.... Sydney and Peyton think they need mama all the time and no one else does for them.... we got them leashes... well a monkey and doggie backpack deal... lets not pretend... it's still a leash, and it works better on dogs.... cuz the kids still want to do what they want to do. My sister came a lil late to game one.... she helped out with the kids too.. So yes.. three of us and it was still hard. Sydney and Peyton have a friend at the games - Kimberly, she's 7 months old, they love to kiss and hug her. There are lots of potential friends at the games... but seldom do they want to go out on a limb to make a new one.... it takes them a long time to warm up even to the old ones.... once they get on a roll, they will give you high fives til your hards are sore and talk your ear off... after game one, we all loaded up - Ben, MIL, Bianca, Jade, Sydney, Peyton, Amy and me.... and headed for Ruby Tuesdays for some grub.... it was just what we needed, AIR CONDITIONING and ice water.... The babies fell asleep and slept all thru the food. I had the garden bar and two mini turkey burgers - delicious - the strawberries were amazing.... so sweet - the babies woke up and ate before we headed back to the park - minus my sister who bailed on game number two.... So it was down to grandma and me to watch the babies... Game two wasn't as bad.... the girls played in their stroller, using it as chairs, they clapped and watched some of the game, ate grapes with the soccer girls, ran onto the field a couple times..... I was ready for a nap. after the game, everyone showered and was ready for bed, but of course by then it was 11 pm......

7 am came to soon, of course 3 am came sooner when i nursed a baby back to sleep, and then 5 am came and someone else was thirsty... and then at 7 I had to get ready and the babies just wanted to sleep some more. We made a starbucks run on the way to the game.... the girls were dressed pretty in pink and brown - and sitting nice in the stroller while mama got stuck setting all her stuff up.... Peyton drank all her chocolate milk.... and Sydney decided it would be funny to dump hers all over Peyton.... and she did... and ben didn't bring the xtra set of clothes I set out for them.... so they looked like walmart babies, stained, dirty and wet.... yeah... picture perfect... Amy and Tyler showed up fashionably late and helped with the babies.... they were pretty good.. spilling water and playing in the ice - and it was cooler today. after the game we hit the baby gap to buy the girls something to wear since they were dirty and stained.... and then Applebee's - the worst service in the world... and the worst food... two strikes... Sydney threw a fit at the resturant, after way to much screaming and crying I took her for a walk and to the car where she nursed and honked the horn... finally we headed back to eat... after that we went shopping some more and then back to the game... the girls were knocked out - HOORAY I got to watch some soccer and have adult interaction

they slept the first half of the game and then they were up and ready to rule the world. We danced, chased dogs, chased our tails, played at the park.....I was so happy when the game was over and they passed out the trophies....

We went to the in laws for Papa's birthday party... we had the yummie Strawberry White Chocolate Mousse cake from Ettore's. We got papa a yellow Nike America hat....

Sydney, Bianca, Donovan, Papa and Peyton ---- check out the cool trophy and hat
