Kamren rolled over

He's 3 months old today...  well if you count March 7th to June 7th... and he's already rolled over...  This blog isn't allowing me to upload any pictures...  darn it...  not that I have a picture of him doing it...  but I can do a before and after

M & M Wedding Day

The night before the wedding we didn't sleep well... okay maybe it was just me.  Two full size beds and a crib, but Kamren didn't really like his crib, he woke up every two hours to nurse and be held.  We all got up about 8 am and the kids had to be to Michelle's room by 10 to get their hair fixed.  We dropped the kids off and went for a walk before heading back to the hotel to get ready.

There was lots of drama at the hotel before the wedding... I'll just keep that under wraps :)  Uncle Michael and his best man arrived at the church in a rolls royce, as did the bride and her maid of honor.  The rest of the wedding party took a trolley from the hotel to the church.  The church was beautiful, Old St Marys on California.

Kamren and I sat with Leslie and Emma in the 4th row on the grooms side.  Tia Andria and Tio Rudy sat right behind us and Tia got some good shots, while mom didn't get a chance to shoot much during the wedding.  The lighting was really bad and no flashes allowed, not to mention I was busy making sure Kamren's carseat didn't fall off the small pew.  Big butts not allowed....

The wedding was beautiful.  Bride and Groom knelt at the front while their bestman and maid of honor sat near them, the rest of the party sat in the pews.  The ceremony was traditional and the priest even got a kiss after the "ortega's were introduced to the family and friends".

The trolley took the guests from the church to the reception, all but Tia Andria, Papa, Grandma, Kamren and me, we took the beautiful walk to the Julia Morgan Building - the place was gorgeous.

Swimming Day 1

June 6th - is that really you?  it was 56 degrees when I took Sydney and Peyton to swimming lessons, that's not the June I remember.... I recall 90 degrees and higher.... yes... I am complaining... I want to feel the summer winds blow through my hair, and the warmth of my friend the sun.

My girls were dressed for Fall this morning hiding the cute bathing suits they wore.  Lucky for us the pool was heated and the water was warm enough to keep the kids all smiling and learning.

Today they started off with 3 instructors and half way through the lesson they were down to 2.  The girls were excited to be there and learn.  There were lots of bubbles blown, heads dunked into the water, back floating, holding the edge and kicking those straight legs, holding onto the q tip and kicking feet as they swam around the pool.  The super man was a big hit, the teacher guiding them around the pool while they blew bubbles, kicked feet and kept their hands like superman, only hands in a v or point in front of them.

Sydney needed a potty break during the lesson, and I'm thinking she wished she'd have peed in the pool, she was turning blue and shaking as we ran to the bathroom.  She was all to eager to jump back in the warm water, but it wasn't long  before the lesson was over and both girls were shaking like a booty on the dance floor.  the base was moving them around like they were weightless...  I hurried to dry them off and get them dressed again.

Tomorrow should be warmer... Yay for that - i have pictures to post, but blogger says the server is down.

M & M rehearsal

We got up early for the drive to San Francisco.. it's not every day your best cousin is having a wedding rehearsal and your invited.  We couldn't be more happy to be a part of the special celebration for Michael and Michelle.  Ben was asked to be a groomsmen, one of nine.  Bianca a junior bridesmaid and Sydney and Peyton flower girls.  The girls were really excited about being in another wedding.

The drive only took a lil over an hour, we found the St Mary's parking garage where they only charge you $7 a day to park....  cept when you forget to pull out of the lot and come right back in.... Ooops.

We got to the church early, it was a cold day, and pushing a stroller up those San Francisco streets is hard work.  The rehearsal was long and the girls were so ready for lunch.  Lunch was at Credos a few blocks away, all we had to do was walk.  Once we got to Pine street... shots rang out...  Yep.. you guessed it.  Someone was gunned down just 50 feet from us, sirens roared on the quiet street, we crossed over so the girls wouldn't see the bloody man on the street... but the adults caught a glimpse.  I'm sure Peyton with her 'good searching eyes' would have see it if she looked.

We picked the best table in the house....  thanks to those eye's of Peyton.  There were at least 50 people at the Rehearsal lunch.  The place was beautiful, lots of quotes on the wall, and just a neat experience.  See pictures.

The food was good.  One of Michelle's brothers was up all night making desserts... and they were scrumptious.  Lunch was pasta, salad and bread - good stuff.  I think I might have to check the place out again when we're in the city.

After lunch we headed to the hotel to check in before heading to the warf.... only it started to pour.. and rained on our parade...  We ended up chillin in the hotel while Bianca and Ben walked the streets, looking for deals, steals and chinese food.  The food was good, and I love being on vacation, even if it's a short trip.
