Bike rides

I promised Sydney and Peyton they could ride their bikes to school one day. Today was the last day of school and I made the biking to school happen. I borrowed Jason's bike and trailer so I could tow Kamren while the girls rode bikes too. His bike had the trailer attachment so it make the trek easy, and it was 2 miles there and 2 back.  Yay.  It took 20 minutes to ride there and 15 back... Haha. So I put in a good 8 miles of biking instead of driving. It was a gorgeous day for it.  Kam and I hung out at the house...  I had a lil bit of work to finish up and then we played outside and he rode his strider. He crashed his bike 4 or 5 times. Yep i got video. Love watching him go. No naps.  Biked back to school to get the girls and then home again

I donated $40 for mrs Donald's gift basket cuz I have two kids in the class and she is an awesome teacher and I she deserved it.  Well only 9 of the 23 parents/kids donated and some not even $20....  Ugg. That's sucked. I know some wanted to do their own thing and we usually do too but I thought how awesome would it be for her to get $400 + in giftcards, a massage and stuff. Guess I won't participate next time.  Or there will be a better turn out. 

The girls made honor roll this year. Pretty cool. They both had one B and the rest A's. Sydney brought her math grade to an A and Peyton brought her spelling grade to an A. So proud of them for a great year. 

We celebrated end of 1st grade with cookies from the cookie connection and lunched at chipotle after we picked Bianca up from school. Not so good for my summer bikini look. Haha. 

No gym today but Sydney, Kamren and I took two more bike rides and kam finally conked out during the ride. Yay for naps. He slept to long and doesn't want to go to bed now.

Hurt

So Bianca hurt her knee at practice one day a few weeks ago. Yep same knee. I know what you're thinking.  Rest that baby and ice up. Yep I was thinking the same thing. Well ya make it into the playoffs and the adrenaline is pumping and you wanna play and as a parent you wanna see your kid succeed.  Well rest one playoff game. (I think she did). Maybe she played a half of a half instead, cuz it was senior night. Ya she played a few minutes....  Okay back into the playoffs and she was resting that knee and they advance. And we get a long drive to Benicia and dad decides to skip the game.  Mom drives and plays taxi to McKenna and Emily...  It was actually fun and I would do it again. 

Benicia. It's gorgeous and a lil chilly for shorts and a t shirt. Borrowers Ben millers blanket and jacket. Way to go Kristie. 

Game is going well... McKenna scores a nice one an we are leading up to the end and well Benicia puts a goal in the net and theres a few minutes on the clock and what.... Luis calls on Bianca.  I'm sure...she was sitting the bench with her swollen hurt knee minding her own business. Deep down yes I wanted to see her play, see her score one.  I am a mom and a fan. Duh.  But all I kept thinking is.  She's gonna get hurt more, she's gonna be done...  Or she's gonna score. Woohoo and we will win.  Okay well time plays out and we get two 10 minutes halves instead.  Pks. We totally had it. I know Bianca could put that bad boy in the back of the net. 

Back to the game. Bianca goes in for like 5 minutes. She does well enough passing the ball and giving folks a shot. No goal no assist but she takes a ball to the chin, jawline and comes out.  A minutes later Benicia scores... Juke and around one and beats another, no one gets back... GOL. Next 10 min and Benicia scores again.  Well eagles ha a good run.  

The way home was great... We stopped off for dinner and pizookis. Just the two of us. It was fun.  Taking photos, flash failures and eating pizza n icecream w cookie. 

Fast forward to Bianca wants to play tennis.... First practice and she twists her knee just standing there. She said it hurts worse than the first time she hurt it. Yep. I'm worried now. 

May 18th

Happy anniversary. Can't believe it's been 17 years of waking up next to this fun loving, makes me laugh like crazy, handsome man. He is everything and more than what I imagined and wished for as a little girl. He is the best dad ever to our kiddos and I'm so proud to call him my hubby. Ok sure we have our disagreements and meltdowns but I wouldn't trade him in for a million bucks or a newer model. Here is to another 17+ years of marriage. 

Birthday weekend

Started the birthday weekend early w/ Thursday lunch w/ my lil sista Amy. We met up at Pita pit for some grub. I always get the same pita. We grubbed and chatted til we had to get back to work. Love spending time with my sister even of its just catching up over lunch.

Friday I watched Sydney and Peyton do the jog a thon at school. They ran 5 laps and Sydney bailed hard on the second lap. She had a huge bloody scrape down her leg and skinned up hands too. Way to rock through the pain.

Went to lunch with my girls Leann and Johanna at Il Forni. Great food and company. I had the portebella mushroom ravioli with squash, zucchini and eggplant. And mushrooms. Spicy n so yummy. I also had beautiful flowers on my desk when I arrived. Leann loves to surprise me with flowers. Such a sweetie.

Got home Friday and the kids and I played outside, riding bikes, scooters and playing baseball. Love when the weather is so nice all you want is to be outside. Totally fought allergies most of the week so being out Friday was nice

Woke up Saturday morning to two munchkins serving me breakfast in bed. Way to early 7:02 and I just wanted to sleep in. Apple slices, banana and toast. Yep those girls were spoiling me. They wanted to make me coffee but I talked them into waiting and I'd let them help. Didn't want anyone getting burned by hit coffee. The girls and Kamren made me sweet cards and I had some store bought cards as well. Ben always buys the funny cards and the girls love reading the cards, even when they don't get the meaning.

The kids cleaned house for me, mostly cuz they wanted to spend Sunday at six flags and figured that would butter me up. Right again

First thing first. Massage and facial for the bday girl. Having that made me miss going like I used to so I think I'm gonna start treating myself again. Ben got me another massage, ionic foot bath and something else certificate for my birthday with my suggestion of course, so I'm lookin forward to scheduling that and the 90 minutes stone massage as well. A girl could get used to being pampered like this.
It was so quiet and with a house full of rowdy kids I could appreciate the tranquility of just hearing myself breathe, reading a magazine, sipping tea. Ya. Then Layin down an closing my eyes, the sounds of a far away waterfall and stream in the distance and sweet smell of eucalyptus. The facial was amazing, an afterwards my face felt like a babies butt. The massage was good, I've had better but I can't complain. I have two huge knots in my shoulders, upper back. Ouch. It's gonna take a few sessions to loosen those bad boys up. Overall I give unwind and escape an a.
After the spa treatment we went to BBQ with the in laws, who keep the house nice and cool. We haven't used the air yet, and it was heating up. We brought giant shrimp and there were steaks, spring onions on the barbee and asparagus. My kids love spring onions on the BBQ. Pretty sure that was all Sydney ate. Haha. Chocolate mousse for dessert. Good day for sure

Sunday off to six flags for an epic adventure with the other Avila's. haha. So thankful our kids get along so great. They really do love each other. Sydney and Peyton went on ROAR for the first time. We got the photo too. They loved it. Ride a second time right away and then started claiming uncle Rudy for their next ride on roar. They both got to ride shotgun with uncle Rudy in the end. Yay for uncle Rudy.
We saw the lion show, Kamren wasn't interested in the dolphin show so I skipped it and we rode the trains 8 times. Good thing there are two different train rides. Kam is a train fanatic. He rode the helicopter and a couple other rides as well. The girls and cousins rode lots of rides together, pretty soon they will be going solo without us parents.
Sydney got up close and personal with the sea lion and the pirate sea lion show. No picture, but really cool.
Great birthday weekend. Thankful for my family.

Manic Monday

Damn it's 90 something to night and the house is just an oven. After an amazing workout and dinner. Kids all tucked into bed and then you hear it. Sydney and Peyton messing around. After being told to get to bed a lil while later Peyton comes down saying Sydney is kicking her. So I told them if they can't behave no swimming this week. Then I told Peyton if she's gonna kick you kick her back. Well I guess Peyton hit Sydney and Sydney kicked Peyton off the bed and she landed on her head. Are you kidding me? Really. That's what I get.

I just talked to Sydney today about thinking before speaking and well maybe speaking before acting is in the cards for her as well.

I'm seriously thinking about moving Sydney into her own room and having Kamren and Peyton do the bunked thing. I don't know what to do with Sydney. Just when I think it's going well... Something happens.

Baskin Robbins. I scream for 31 flavors. My favorite is chocolate peanut butter. There is no better ice cream. Kamren loved it too.

Game face and birthday bash

What a weekend to go. Friday night the eagles played Whitney in soccer and it was a great game, only wish I saw more o it than I did. I spent 3/4 of the game chasing, pushing, or holding Kamren. He wants to run free up an down the stairs of the stadium or where ever he can. Hard on me. Bianca played really good. She had a couple opportunities to score, but the goalie blocked the shots or she got taken down. No penalty. Darn. Eagles tied 1-1 and move onto playoffs. Yay. Celebration time on the win and bens birthday. We picked up cupcake cravings.. S'mores and caramel chocolate. Yum.

Laser tag

I'm finishing this post. I'm in the sauna. Burning up. Sweating pouring out and it stings my throat. Ugh. I can't think. Almost time to get out. Adele in my ears and laser tag on the mind.

Took the kids to play laser tag last Tuesday. That would be April 23. Peyton, Sydney, Bianca and me. Yes I'm the only competitive one in the group. I can't wait til the lil girls get competitive. Bianca Ida's getting mad at me that I wanted her to follow me into the base. I kept shooting three of the other team but the fourth would get me. So I thought she could help. Nope. The other team had their base protected and enough people shooting our base too. I have no clue where our team was or what they were doing. First game I had 1st on our team of 11. Game 2 I had second. And again our team sucked. I can't wait to take DJ with us next time we go. I took some photos but only one came out. 2 games if laser tag and $26 in snacks and $50 in game tokens. We still have half of the tokens.

Still playing catch up on the blog and life. Even the gym. Today is day 1 again after a week off cuz of my stitches. Today the pool is packed. The kids want to swim. So I'm thinking if they can have a good week I will gladly bring them back to swim. It's gonna be 97 at the end on the week. Now if I was swimsuit ready. Yikes. I have a lil time to kill and a lot to trim.

Good mornin

I didn't sleep very well last night but when I finally settled into the good sleep my alarm went off. 530 you came to quickly. I raced downstairs to make coffee and start getting ready. Soon the girls were up and I was making breakfast for them. A first they agreed in oatmeal. Woohoo.
5 minutes to spare and Kamren was standing at the gate. He was smiling and that's always a sign to what kinda morning we will have. It was gonna be a great one. I smiled and said Good morning. And he said Good Mornin mama. Picked him up and gave him a big hug then he said his good morning to the rest of the crew. Headed upstairs for some milk in the glider and we snuggled. Love those precious moments with him. The girls and dad headed off to school and I asked Kamren if he wants to go potty in the toilet and get a stamp. yay he said yes. I sang a lil potty ditty and he peed. Woo hop danced a jig, high fives, clapping and fist pumps. He picked the helicopter for his stamp.
I finished getting ready and I bribed Kamren. If he let me brush his teeth good we would go outside and play a lil while. Before we headed to school. It was worth it.
Work was work and daycare was daycare. No stamps at school no trip to the toy jar for Kamren.
Picked syd and pey up and got an ear full about the school day. Peyton was first on the track. Sydney and mia tied, no one waited for ella and lunch was pretty good.
Back at the homestead we got our workout on, then played outside spraying the dog, each other and the plants.
Dinner grilled fish, rice and corn. Then more playtime out front with Caleb. The kids rode bikes, scooters and then suited up for some baseball. Heck ya! Batting practice and I got videos. Kam got his ups and managed to tee off a few.

Lost a few posts

I should really save more often. I wrote a few days worth and lost it all so in playing catch up
Last Sunday we met up with the cousins at grandma and papas house, the girls were so excited that the boys were going to be there and as soon as uncle Rudy and Tia andria rounded the corner Donovan was trying to jump out of the van It hadn't even stopped and he was flying out of the door on a mission to meet up with the coolest cousins he knows. Okay I'm biased but these three really love each other. Snapped some photos of the cousins all enjoying Popsicles. I even made a poster of one.
Looking back over old blog posts of Sydney Peyton and Donovan and how they looked like triplets and even now they still have that resemblance. Great lookin kids with personality for days.
I love their relationship, how much fun they can have playing dogs, soccer, hide n seek or just talking about everyday stuff. I can't wait to see what happens next. Looking forward to summer fun

Potty training last week

Another session of Potty training sponsored by moms around the world. Friday felt like a great day to begin again... The lil man decided one time I. The toilet was enough, Saturday wasn't any better, but Sunday was a break through... 1 accident and we even went to grandma and papas. Monday and Tuesday he peed on Sharon and she suggested him not coming to school like a fashionista and trying easy off pants instead: sweats or elastic band pants. Ugh. Not my fab. Wednesday he had a couple stamps so he's on his way.

UFC Style

Big time fighting. Chair to the head, blood spilling down the side of my face. 5 stitches and a tdap shot later and in stuck with a huge swollen and bruised eye.
Or should I say bad experience gardening. Truth I was watering plants on the fence and I have four metal chairs that I use to stand on. They have mesh seats and they are four years old. Haha. The girls ripped the mesh in the last chair but didn't say anything. I watered the first three sections and stepped over to the fourth and my foot went through the mesh seat and I fell backwards and to the side, the l chair flipped back and smacked my head. Blood gushed everywhere. And I hit the other side of my head on the play structure. 5 stitches. Ugh

Girl drama

Wow why does drama and girls go hand in hand. I'm sure it's not only my girls but there is so much competitiveness in this house and not always in a good way I suppose.
I wish my kids were nicer to each other. Sydney is always calling Peyton ugly. So not nice. I think all my kids are beautiful, and it's not just me thinking that. I know my kids are smart and kind most of the time but when it comes to each other,!lets just say the gloves are off again

Older girl drama. Damn prom news. Last night I went to lay with Bianca before bed and snuggle. She said that Kennedy asked nick to prom and he said no. Then Jenny (Ks mom) told Kennedy to make a sign asking nick and a photo album and letter. What the hell... Then drove her to nicks house and talked to nick herself. Can you say embarrassing. Poor Kennedy was crying. I think I would too.
More prom news. So I guess JF is a no go. There could be many reasons why and I don't wanna speculate. I already have. So now Bianca wants to go with Donnie Hibbs, football player and mr comedy himself. She said that he always makes her laugh and what more could a girl ask for right??? Haha. She said Michael is awkward and Nick lacara is well she didn't really say cept that he snapchats her a hundred times. When did snapchats start to suck

Mud factor fun mud race

Second race in the mud for Bianca and I but we teamed up with my sister Amy, and my girls Diane, Sandra, Liz and her husband. So glad we had one man run with us cuz it wasn't your grandmas mud run. Haha. Leann and Judy backed out, but there is always another run around the corner.
So we got there and got hyped before the noon call to run. We started off near the front and at an easy jog first obstacle was a huge mud and water filled hole. Amy went straight up the gut and everyone else made way thru. Only I couldn't see Amy anymore and I heard people yelling that people lost shoes. Ya. So I stood on the sideline as folks ran by us finally spotted Amy getting her shoe from the mud pit and getting it back on.
The race is on and half our team ditched us so time to make it up double time. A few more mud filled streamed and Bianca takes Amy out into the mud and slime. Yep liked like two teenagers wrestling around. Ok let's triple time to catch up an we did. Hell ya I love that. Next obstacle was a huge wall you had to slither under like a snake. In the slippery mud and a ditch of water but not clean, it was gross. More mute puddles of shin high sticky mud. Run run. Oh ya there was this big reminded me of a train car that was lodged into the mud. We had to get up over that. No easy feat for someone with not enough upper body strength. With some help I got up and pulled my water logged ass over. Big jump into the mud pit and off to the races we went.
My least favorite obstacle was this huge slippery wall that was @45 degree angle and about 7 feet high. People were making human ladders to get up. Sandra went up first climbing up with a lil push and then me. Well at the top there was no easy way to brace yourself of get over. The other side consisted of two by fours set far apart and the angle it hit the top of the obstacle was pointy. The top is lined with men and women trying to help others up and so we got the BIL up and folks start grabbing us to get up but we aren't secure so we are sliding down and trying to regain our spot on the wall using every once of strength we have. Not much. Haha. That obstacle took ten minutes at least. I hurt my shoulder hanging on.
Running through slippery mud trails I hit the ground hard a couple times. I needed cleats. Haha. We slid down hard packed mud hills and the climbed up and over cargo nets like the military does. Those were about 15 feet high or more. Then we climbed over 6 ft walls with no ropes or anything. Walked over wet beams and pools of mud. There were trenches to climb inane out of and tunnels too. Yay mud. The next hardest obstacle was the 30 ft wall and you had to use a rope with knots to get over. That was scary. My favorite part was the huge slip n slide. They put soap on you and down you went. Me and Amy went at the same time and it was fast and cool. Bianca got a huge push and was like a rocket. Fun stuff. Wish there were more slides. My least favorite parts were the military crawls under the wire n the mud. We did that a few times and they were long obstacle. I got some scrapes and cuts on my knees from random rocks. We made it, we had a blast and I'm ready for another.

Half days

Friday was my annual family practitioner appt. not sure I have these but after a blood work up and routine questions I was found to have good cholesterol, no diabetes and everything else was good. Hot flashes and all. So I got to start work a lil late and leave work a lil early and that makes any work day worth it

Picked the lil ones up and raced home in anticipation of Bianca, jacks and Kennedy coming home to get ready for the soccer game vs rancho... And hear about the HS days events. B informed me that she checked out her locker to make sure it was safe and then started textin MK to let him know up front she wasn't sure she wanted to go to prom. Ok girl wants to go to prom and first choice is JF. Anyhow MK said he ain't trippin and if she wants to go let him know cuz he wanted to get a limo. Nice call bro. Celt I don't imagine him talkin like that. Oh well I still see that five year old toe head kid

Soccer game was a 2-0 win for the eagles and I took turns with be watching the game and walking up and down the bleachers with Kamren. We also had some police action with helicopters and that made Kamren happy as could be. We walked around the field and played on the giant hills, Sydney and Peyton and kam were pretending to be mountain climbers which required pulling themselves using roots,grass, and rocks up the side of the mountain and then Sliding down. Fun and entertaining for all. Jake Klinger came over to play with the girls. Kam also found a big toad who turned into the life of the party.

Bianca went home with Kennedy to shower and pick the boys up for the twirp dance. Got a couple not very good photos taken and headed to the dance. They said it was lame and that was $20 wasted if you ask me. Jenny (Kennedy's mom) picked the kids up early and they went back to her house for ice cream, beef jerky n cupcake cravings oh n pitch perfect. So they hung out with movies.

What's a girl to do??
Bianca is a smart, kind, outgoing, and beautiful girl. On top of that she a comedian. Who wouldn't want to ask her to the prom?

She text me this morn to say that MK was going to ask her to the prom today. He was askin where her locker was an classes. Sounds like a man on a mission.

Bianca already asked JF to the twirp dance and he said yes. Dance is Friday. Woohoo. She really wants to go to the prom with JF. He is her first choice and she's been crushing on him for as long as I can remember.

But what if JF doesn't ask her. What if she misses the prom because she said no to the guys willing to take the chance and ask because she's waiting for J. What if he doesn't ask. I mean he's got to be crazy not to ask.

Bianca said that NL wanted to take her if J didn't. I don't get it. I mean I do but I don't. Of course NL wants to take her. But what if he really wants to take her even if JF wanted to. I mean is he hoping J doesn't ask her or is he just gonna wait around and see what happens.

What would you do?
So hard to decide. I mean 3 nice guys (from what I can tell). 3 athletes. Haha

Update. News alert. Haha. MK told all of 1st period and the baseball team that he was going to ask Bianca to the prom. He even got her locker number from the hall monitor cuz the hall monitor went to talk to Bianca 5th period. Anyhow back to the MK thing. He also told JFs best friend Ben. Okay if I was Ben I would have been YO MK is gonna ask your girl to prom. Haha.
Bianca also said that JF was holding her hand today. What's that all about. Ask already cuz I'd hate to see MK get his heart broken or even turned down cuz Bianca likes JF. On Bianca's defense she told MK she was Going to TWIRP with JF and I'm pretty sure MK is following Bianca on twitter and Instagram and she posts all the time.

Can't wait to hear what's going on tomorrow. rally at school for Bianca the. Her girls are coming to the house before the soccer match and the Bianca is going to Kennedy's after the game to shower and get ready for the dance. Woo hop

Weekend fun

Woohoo. Friday was great. Went to nishiki sushi with Leann and Laura. Great food. Rock n roll, corvette and Buddha. After lunch Leann and I walked to yogurt and i showed her old soul, can't believe she's never been.
Bianca and the girls did their chores as Bianca wanted to go to Scandia with McKenna and friends. I wasn't thrilled about that hood and her going but she's an awesome kid and I trust her to make good choices. They ended up skipping Scandia and going to Bella bru and yogurt instead. Afterwards McKennas dad picked them up and they went to his sports academy and they watched wrestling and ride the mechanical bull. Ride em cowboy.

Having a hard time blogging at the dr and these people are chattin loud. Ugh.

Saturday we finished cleaning up the backyard and it's almost ready to plant our garden. Bianca came home an had been texting with michael khols. He said they should hang out and Bianca asked if he drove. Haha. No driving teens. Later she got asked to the movies by Michael. He said it was awkward cuz his aunt was gonna drive them. Bianca said cool. They got lost coming to the house and they ended up seeing GI JOE and going to pizza.
Easter Sunday we went to Judy Dale and Landon's for Easter fun. BBQ and it was gorgeous outside. The kids did and water egg hunt. Bianca got the golden egg worth $10. Woo hoo. Kamren was checkin Judy out all afternoon and her pretty red dress and cowboy boots. She ended up letting him wear the boots. He had fun
The kids all played tag, hide n seek and guns. Tommy nerf gun rules. I gotta get kam one. The kids had uncle mark chasing them all over, he got more exercise than he bargained for. Good food and fun
Later that night Ben and I saw the call. Bianca isn't going to the mall alone ever. Ugh.
Now I'm at capitol imaging getting mammogram then gym time. Tomorrow blood work and Friday physical. Way to start April
