Rolling

Guess who's rollin now? Peyton... She went from back to tummy. Lately when the girls are laying on their backs they spin around lots, wearing the hair off the back of the head, and they are always trying to roll over but the elbow stops them. NO MORE. Peyton has managed to overcome the elbow. I got it on video after the sixth time of rolling... So exciting... She took a nap and when she woke up, she rolled right onto her tummy, I think it scared her.

Sydney went from her tummy to her back first and now Peyton has first dibs on going from her back to her tummy.

Watch out - The girls are on the move....

Swimmin

We've been going to Nana and Papa's to swim after picking Bianca up from school. Sometimes we all get to swim, other times just Bianca gets to swim. What I mean by all... I mean the big kids... not the babies... They do wear their bikini's but it's just for show. Not sure if they'll be swimming babies this year or not. We usually swim during the babies nap times... only it seems they prefer to take short cat naps when we visit my parents. At Ben's parents house... those babies can sleep for a couple hours... Whats up with that...

Yesterday we went swimming and we swam long enough that my feet got pruned.... how crazy is that? First time this year...

Gotta run Peyton just woke up and it's time to head to Nana and Papa's

Shots Ring Out

Four Month Dr Appt - let's just say there was lots of screaming after the shots... Peyton took it bad, she cried the longest before we left the dr office, and she went last... We had to let Sydney go first because she kept trying to fall asleep while we were waiting for the vaccinations.

Sydney is 24 1/2 inches long (50%)weighs 15 lbs 2 oz (85%)
Peyton is 24 3/4 inches long (75%)weighs 14 lbs 0 oz (55%)

Sydney looks longer than Peyton - so I'm thinking the nurse messed up, she drew the lines totally off when she measured Peyton, cuz I'm thinking Sydney is a good inch longer than her sister... I could be wrong... but I don't think so.

Went to the in laws after the doctor, grandma is home with a sore knee - she had surgery on it, and I knew she could use some company and I could use some extra hands while caring for CRANKY babies. They started off great... they nursed and played in the bouncer and swing, fell asleep. Peyton woke up first, she nursed again and then I left to pick up Bianca from school... when I came back Peyton was SCREAMING, and had been for quite a long time, she was sleeping and screaming... not sure how that works.... MORE TYLENOL please.... finally I calmed her back to sleep and she slept on the couch.
Sydney woke up and was fine for a few minutes and then she started screaming and screaming, nothing worked... she was RED. she wouldn't even nurse. She skipped a meal (hard to believe). Finally grandma got her to fall asleep. When she woke up again she was WONDERFUL.... and she nursed extra since she skipped lunch. Peyton woke up cranky, nursed and went back to sleep, finally she got up at 5 pm..... and was awake and happy... YEAH

I'm thinking tomorrow will be a GREAT day to go to my parents and swim, it's gonna be 105, not sure what today was.. but it felt 105.

Sac Valley Live Steamers Railroad Museum (outside event)

Saturday was my nephew Dominic's 4th birthday party - he turned 4 on the 9th of June, he thinks he's five cuz he had a birthday party on the 9th and again on the 17th. He's one lucky guy, two quick birthdays and everything was a POWER RANGER toy (not really, but don't tell Dominic that).

First thing when we got there -It was HOT, Sydney was CRANKY, she cried, screamed almost the entire time I nursed Peyton, who was super hot and eating SLOW. They had those great mist things, so we were getting a lil wet, which felt good, it would have felt better if we could get a lil breeze. By the time I finished nursing Peyton and finally calmed Sydney down, she was out like a light, she didn't even nurse before going to sleep. She slept about 30 minutes, enough to reenergize herself and gave me enough time to eat - one handed of course.

The kids boarded train after train, taking the 1.5 mile train track around the place. Some of the kids/adults got to see a mama deer and a baby (tiny). It was very cool, ... er so I heard. I only got to see the mama running around. She was looking for her baby I think. I only got to take the train once... I was nursing babies and making them content more than I was partying. ~lol~ the life of a mama.

We had yummie BBQ, but they had to feed the help, which cut into the train rides, another reason I only got one ride. I'm thinking they should eat in shifts, that way one train is always running the track. Must be why i don't own a business.

We had a lil soccer game after eating. I only played a half of the game, the end half, long enough to be on the losing team. Oh well. We had fun and that's what counts.

After the party we went to uncle rudy and aunt andria's house (dominic's parents, my brother and sister in laws). The kids played in the pool after Bianca helped Dominic open all his presents. The three babies (Donovan, Sydney and Peyton played on the floor, Donovan rolling around mostly, and my two girls doing some tummy and back time. Sydney fell asleep during the play time. We headed outta there and home. Bianca stayed the night with her cousins.

...I have no pictures because I forgot to charge my battery. OOOPS

Baptism

SUNDAY

What a wonderful day for a baptism... okay I was a lil excited about the whole thing finally happening. The air was cool and crisp, I love that feeling. We made it to the church with plenty of time, we were actually the first families there. We laid the girls dresses out in the chapel, so they'd be set after the baptismal water was poured on them. There were a total of 7 kids during the 930 service. The 730 service had two sets of twins, 930 had our twins, and the noon had a set of twins also... wow, there's lots of babies...

We lined up in the back of the church to make our grand entrance, Peyton, Sydney, Mom, Dad, Bianca and Nino Rudy and Nina Andria.... then came the other families... Peyton went first at the baptismal fountain, I held her over, placing her feet and legs in the warm water, she enjoyed it, Deacon Fong poured the water over her head, to her it was the best type of shower... She wore a swimmie. It was sisters turn next, Daddy held her over the fountain, she enjoyed the warm water too. After the water we placed them in towels and took them into the chapel to change them into their beautiful dresses... We had four people to dress the girls and about 7 minutes to get it all done... We managed. YEAH for us. We finished the ceremony, holding the girls up so everyone could see them.... I think they liked that... During the end of Mass Sydney got GRUMPY... she was yelling and very upset.... She wouldn't fall asleep either... Peyton on the other hand was napping... We took some pictures after the Mass then headed to the reception.

We had fun, it's always good to get together with family and friends and eat yummie food. Any excuse is good for me. We are a partying family for the most part, most of the time it's birthday parties... but sometimes there are just BBQ's... ~lol~ The girls enjoyed visiting with everyone and nursing lots.... Sydney didn't sleep at all during the party, but Peyton got a good nap in while being held. When we got home Sydney was out for a good three hours, and she woke up in a happy mood. She was throwing smiles all around.

Rollin and a Rockin

Sydney rolled over from tummy to back for the first time while laying on the floor. There's been some rolling over while on the bed.... but never on the floor while playing... She was having a great time, she'd roll over right onto Peyton, and she'd laugh. Peyton meanwhile isn't rolling over, she's cleaning the blanket with her mouth while she's doing her tummy time. I grabbed the video camera to capture the moment - and all I got was a quick shot of the two of them and then the fastest roll over around, It was like she was on her tummy and magically she was on her back....

Now that Sydney knows how to roll, she's just a rollie pollie. It's exciting.

Peyton on the other hand is rockin, if you sit her on your leg (I'm sitting on the floor), she'll lean forward and push off the carpet with her feet and push herself back, like she's in a rocking chair. She did it for at least five minutes before she got tired and started to doze off, I think she gets it from me when I'm rocking her in the LAZY BOY.

SATURDAY - Babies first wedding

Scott ties the knot. My oldest friend Scott got married on Saturday. We've been friends since the summer of 1986, twenty years now. It's hard to believe we've been friends that long and even harder to believe he found someone who wanted to marry him ~wink wink~ She's not the best judge of character... cuz she doesn't care much for me... ~lol~ it all goes back to when Scott let me borrow his 4Runner and he'd never so much as let her drive it, let alone borrow it... ~shrugs shoulders~ oh well... we did manage to get past that... I guess once I got to know her a lil better and once she got to know me a lil more... everything worked out.

They got married at St. Philomeans, at 2 o Clock. It was a strange event. Doreen tripped while walking down the isle, she caught herself luckily, she got a lil wabbily again, I'm thinking she wanted to turn and run the other way ~lmao~ She finally made it... The Priest mentioned - as he was stuttering - that he didn't like that they were starting late and he was nervous and anxious because he had to take confessions at 430 and then do a mass.... kind of a strange announcement before performing a wedding. One of the kids in the wedding party - the ring bearer - got a lil upset and bored - was jumping up and down on the stage, near the alter and it was HOLLOW, it made quite a racket... sounded like someone was working on the roof... A guy in the wedding party (doreen's brother) yelled something I couldn't understand... (I guess he said it's okay to cry - didn't go with the kid stomping I guess) the Priest turned and got ANGRY... he said this was a sacred moment and they had to redo it... he was really aggitated after that.. he almost dropped the rings... and he got upset at Scott for not reciting the vows and looking at Doreen.. Scott was looking at the priest during part of it.. and the priest got upset... it was quite crazy... BUT they finished... YEAH. now they are off to Europe... (or so I thought.. the plan was to leave on Sunday... but they just stopped by the house and it's Monday night about 9pm. Things didn't go the way they planned... they got into San Francisco airport twenty minutes late and they couldn't board the plan.... twenty minutes late for the hour early check in, not twenty minutes late for the actual flight... so they had to change the flight out of Sac for Tuesday morning, and it cost another $2500 on top of what they already paid... OUCH it's expensive. Half of the wedding party didn't show up at the Capital for pictures... it was Doreen's side of the family. She said they are so GHETTO... I know what she means sometimes. I guess there was more drama at the reception - we didn't make it cuz the babies usually go to bed about 8 and the reception started at 6, I didn't want to have cranky babies at the baptism on Sunday)

Sydney wasn't in the mood for the wedding... she got fussy and her and daddy sat in the way back of the church. Bianca, Peyton and I stayed up close and personal.

thursday out and about

Peyton gets her groove on

Sydney practices the airplane

SYDNEY Mom got us dressed in some matching red overall skirts. We really like the red, especially when we cry, our face can match the outfit - color coordination at it's finest.

PEYTON So we played in the grass a lil while, while mom was snappin photo's - we were trying to run our feet over the grass. Sydney got to touch it... check out that face... I on the other hand, well I was getting down with the beats, my own beats

SYDNEY The wind was blowing slightly, made for some strange noises, I couldn't tell if anyone else noticed... I'm sure my lil sister did, cuz I noticed her getting her groove on. Guess what? Yep, world cup and I'm already practicing my airplane move, can't wait to hear them yell GOL!

Peyton We met daddy at his work today, he gave us the royal tour. Actually we didn't see everyone, but I made quite an impression on Lilly, she was laughin, I had jokes. I was feeling really comfy with her, gave her my specialty "I like you" I didn't get to meet everyone, some folks were in meetings and mom hauled me away for a nursing but I could hear Sydney putting on a show

Sydney People love to hear me talk, well I think my lil sister gets a lil frusterated because I'm louder, bigger and I rule the crib, okay well enough said. I had everyone going, I gave them a lil time to speak, but I held the conversation on my own for the most part. I put on the charm. Not sure who all stopped by, dad was holding me and mom snuck away for some quiet time with Peyton.

The girls were knocked out about fifteen minutes, the time it took to get home from I Street. They were raising the dead by the time I sat down, everyone was cranky and overtired... I had a lot of rocking to do... finally I got both babies down for a lil nap. Usually Thursdays are early days for Bianca, but they had a field trip to the aquatic center so I was picking her and Kelsie up at 330, made it with time to spare and we hit the gym.... I had four kids at the gym, no one seemed to mind, they watched over binkies and crowd control while I made my round on the equipment. Bianca dumped Sydney off on me as soon as I got on the bike... so we cruised around on the bike, mostly talking to our new friend Heather (the mom) and Mauve (the baby) - They go to our church... yep we own a church - okay we share a church. So we did lots of chatting and the bike ride felt so quick... I hope we run into them again soon. We have one other friend (Kelsie - the baby) don't know mommy's name yet.

After the gym we grabbed some Taco's and went to ISA to watch soccer and see Brandy and Jack... They were late... Brandy's always late, but now she has an excuse ~smile~ we hung out for a lil bit. Bianca held onto Syd and I had Pey. Sydney did a lot of flirting with Jack and let her self be heard... Peyton flirted a lil bit too, but she was tired and not in the mood to talk. Jack just stared into my girls blue eyes - mesmorized by their beauty ~lmao~ We had fun....

When we got home... it was a cry fest.... lots of tears, crying, lots of mama rocking and rolling, nursing and cursing - opps delete that part... ~lmao~ Finally got those crazy girls into bed, spent a lil time with Bianca messing around and then we all hit the hay.

Bumbo

Sydney and Peyton are always trying to sit up. Whenever they are in the bouncer or swing they are always leaning forward trying to sit up like big kids. We saw the Bumbo at Goores and decided that they looked like a good chair. The Bumbo Baby Seat is a snug and cozy environment for your baby. This revolutionary infant chair is uniquely designed according to the baby’s posture. The Bumbo enables babies to sit upright all by themselves! (can be used as early as 6 weeks, and they can use them at least til they are 14 months, and longer is they choose). The girls seemed to really love their Bumbo's....

Seeing Doubles

Yesterday we went to Raley's to do some grocery shopping, I was picking out apples when I saw a couple from Sharing Parents and our twins classes, their babies had arrived. No one had heard from them, so it was nice to see them in the flesh and their darling babies. She said she saw the announcement in the newsletter that we had delivered healthy baby girls. They had a boy - John and a girl - Gabriella. They are 14 weeks old, very cute babies. the boy is bald and the girl had lots of dark hair. We ended up taking up the entire fruit isle talking about our experiences, the pregnancy, the birth and taking care of our babies.... we talked for at least 40 minutes... People would stop and oogle the babies, thinking it was strange to see two sets of twins, they'd ask lots of questions too. When we finally did manage to go about with our shopping, a lady came up to me and said. "did you know there is another set of twins shopping too?" ~lmao~ Yep, I knew it...

Anyhow it got me to thinking about all the friends I've made through sharing parents, people I would have never met if Kyle were still with us today. There is not a day that goes by that I don't wish Kyle was here, but I am thankful for the friends I've met along the way, the people that understand me, the people I understand. They are the only ones that really get me, that know how I feel, because they feel it too. Everyone from my group is having babies or have delivered. We share in each others joys of having the babies and also in the fears of the unknown.

I'm so thankful that I have these precious baby girls. One that looks just like Bianca and one that looks just like Kyle.

Sunday in the Park

Saturday Night my brother brought my nephew Patrick over - LATE... he was supposed to drop him off at six, but he didn't drop him off til almost eight... yeah I was not happy with Josh. Patrick is five... he was ready to go to bed by 830... Bianca managed to keep him awake til ten...

We woke up early for church. Bianca helped Patrick get ready, she was his hairstylist. It was cute. I had the luxury of getting myself and two babies ready. Yeah, you think daddy could get one baby ready... NOT

Sydney slept during most of church, Peyton nursed and slept. Miranda, Ty and Nami showed up.... I guess I can scratch the head and shoulders off my list for her. After church we went to Hoppy Brewing Co for breakfast....it was yummie... get this... kids eat for .99 on sundays and mondays (I didn't know this). After breakfast, the waitress said they were doing a promotion and each adult entree came with a bottle of beer to take home... guess what... Miranda took all the beer ~pouts~ Okay, I don't drink a lot of beer. 1 - I'm nursing 2 - I just don't have time to drink 3 - I'm nursing and these babies are enough to drive me to drink

From church we went to Miranda's and hung out. The girls played in the bedroom and Ty was supposed to be playing xbox with Patrick, only he wanted to play with Ben more... and then when he finally gave Patrick a remote.... he kept playing one player (even though the game was two player) He was so not nice. Patrick kept asking Ty to let him play... it was pathetic...

Finally we left for the park. The girls messed around at the park for a lil while, then we played a version of baseball... okay pitch and hit. It was fun to watch Ben hit the ball really far and the boys chase after it. If Ty would get to the ball first, Patrick would grab him and they would both tumble to the ground. If Patrick got to the ball first... that meant that Ty was to tired to run after the ball at all. If Bianca got the ball first - it was no fair.... After they got tired of letting Ben hit the ball... I pitched to them. They got three hits or three strikes, which ever came first. They both struck out a few times.... Ty would cry... But they were all smiles when they were hitting the homeruns... I'm an awesome pitcher... I gave up at least ten home runs to them.

The babies slept almost the entire time at the park. I was glad we left when we did.... because Sydney cried for half of the walk back to Miranda's. We hung out for a lil while... and Ty actually let Patrick play video games with him. Nami and Bianca played dress up and chess club....

I forgot my camera at home, I was sad. I would have loved to get some pictures while we were out enjoying the sunshine.

more pictures from the creek

Bianca, Zach and Sydney smile big for the camera. Zach was looking at his mom, Bianca was checking out the dog, and Sydney was drooling was trying to figure out where all the flashes were coming from.

Daddy is putting his best girl forward,

although he's not looking as happy as he should.

What's wrong with that picture

mornin

Rise and shine mama, I know you can hear me... I'm ready to see the world. I've got a big smile and I know the bright sunshine is waiting just outside the window. Can we please go for a walk.

Check me out, I'm crawling... over you Peyton. Watch out I'm taking over the crib. "who's your sista?"

Sydney is all smiles when she wakes up and greets the day. "Good mornin mama, you got some of that yummie milk waiting for me? I got a beautiful smile for you..."

"Good mornin mama sunshine - Wait mama, what about me... I'm thirsty too, and I'm withering away here, you feed Sydney first and she drinks all the whole milk and leaves me with the non-fat milk, I need the fatty milk, so please let me nurse first"
