a Phineas & Ferb birthday party

Peyton and Sydney were invited to classmate Braydon's 5th birthday party at bounce u.  The kids all had a blast, running, jumping, playing ball & sliding.  Even Kamren met a new friend, 7 month old Logan.  The two had free reign to crawl all over the place.

Yogurt with the Millers

Pictures from day 3 after Kindergarten with our friends Nicola, Lane, Tillie & Sadie.  We love our besties.

Kamren - Mr Independant

This boy loves being on the floor and I guess he's no mama's boy.... I love to cuddle, and sure... sometimes he enjoys being on my lap, of course mostly because he's hungry.  It's a bit sad and a bit exciting.  So many new things on the horizon for him.  He's so active and on the go...  He's never still for very long.  He's chasing after the girls, me or his daddy, maybe chasing after toys or balls.  He is a man on a mission.  I'm afraid he's going to be walking soon, and I'm not ready for that.  He just started eating rice cereal, I'm not sure if he likes it or not....  He spits up quite a bit after eating, maybe he's eating to much, but I'm not really giving him to much, or maybe his tummy isn't ready.  I don't know....  so we've taken a few days off from rice cereal.

Sophmore

Where has the time gone?  I remember those first days after bringing Bianca home from the hospital, the joy I felt staring down at her cute lil face as she nursed or cried.  She was so dependant on me, like nothing I'd ever known, and I couldn't stop smiling.  My body felt like a wreck, but my spirit was elated.

As she grew up surrounded by adults ~ no cousins in sight, she developed into a smooth talker, groovy dancer and one of a kind.

Today she's in 10th grade and much different than she was as she walked into Kindergarten 10 years ago.  She is finally becoming independant.  I'm not talking picking out her own clothes, brushing her teeth and hair, she's been doing that for years.....  But being able to run into Starbucks or Jamba Juice or the store without me...  that's a hurdle that took 14 years to get to.  She makes 'Great' choices (most of the time)  She's an awesome athlete, amazing student who sometimes struggles but manages to take what she's given and more forward.  Imagine the girl who didn't get Alegebra for 2 years....  getting an A in that class last year.  She took what was offered to her - tutoring after school and sometimes at lunch and she turned that grade right around, she finally knew Algebra and understood it.   I love that about her.  She can do anything she wants and I believe in her.

She's now taking more honors classes and I'm praying she's still taking this school thing seriously, so far she's loving her classes, her friends, and maybe a few of the teachers.  I'm very proud of the student she has become and the daughter that she is.  Love that girl!

Here are a couple pictures of my baby girl who's no longer a baby girl.

Party in my crib

Kamren slept in his bedroom, in his crib for the first time ever.  He did such a great job, I mean how could he not, sleeping, eating and pooping is what babies do...  Daddy hooked up the monitor and the fun began, after gliding/rocking Kamren to sleep, I laid him in the middle of his crib, placing his binky where he could grab it easily.
the giraffe was playing relaxing, stay asleep music, so i laid in bed listening to it and finally falling asleep only to wake up every couple hours to run and check on him....  He was snoozing big time.

Kamren slept til 5 am....  Yay...  he slept really good and I only wished I slept half as good.

I nursed Kamren and then laid in in the co sleeper next to my bed and we slept another 2 hours.... I woke up to Kamren smiling, drooling and playing with toys next to my bed, he looked over and laughed.... I love waking up next to him, it's going to be so hard to keep putting him to bed in his room, I'll be missing that cute bright cheery smile when I wake up.

I love feet

okay, i love baby feet and toddler feet and my own feet.  Ah ha.   Kamren was taking his morning nap in the swing, cuz he loves to nap there or my arms, and even though I prefer letting Kamren sleep in my arms, sometimes I have to do things around the house and leave it to the swing to hold my lil man.

check out these feet

Rice Cereal

Highchair - check
spoon - check
bowl - check
rice cereal - check
Kamren - check

it's a go....  Kamren did well with the rice cereal.  I think he was disappointed in the amount he got.  He was ready for a big bowl and instead only got a few spoonfuls.  Sydney and Peyton couldn't wait to feed him, and he didn't mind who was shoveling the cereal in...

We also picked up a bunch of jars of Earth's Best.  Sweet potato, squash, carrots, peas, pears, apples, bananas, apple blueberries.... and a few i can't remember.  With daycare fast approaching, we decided we'd start the first foods now instead of later.  So far so good.  Tomorrow morning, we're having rice cereal again.

Kindergarten

I can't believe how fast the time has gone.  I have two kindergarteners and I'm not sure who's more excited about it.  For the last 6 months the girls have been talking about going to big girl school.  As it grew closer I got nervous, my lil girls are growing up.  With school a month out, the girls got more excited and then Sydney decided she wasn't ready for Kindergarten.  Peyton was more than ready for the both of them.  The week before school started we had an orientation and meet and greet with the teachers.  Sydney wanted to make sure I was staying with her during the meet and greet and i was.

First we met Mrs Stecca (am teacher) then Mrs Aboukhadijeh (pm teacher)  Both teachers are in the classroom during the entire day helping each other.  Nice since there are 24 students, nice to have a 12 to 1 ratio....  there was a list of things to do - visit the restroom, find the light, find the sink, where are the coatracks, the rug, the cubbies, tables, chairs, drinking fountain, playground.  Read a book, do a worksheet.  We made the most of our 30 minutes.  Over the weekend Sydney still wasn't sure about going to school without me.

When the time came, both to the girls did fine.  They got up early, ate waffles, took pictures after getting ready and then we got to school early so we could take more pictures and see them off.  I thought the two would be inseperable, but only for day one.  By the time school was over, they had made new friends.  Sydney was holding hands with Paige and Ashlyn and Peyton was content to be independant, she did however play at recess with Braydon who gave her his phone number and said they should have a playdate.

We celebrated the first day of school with a trip to Esthers cupcakes (i forgot my camera) and shopping at Arden Fair mall.

Day 2 - Sydney was still holding hands with Paige and Ashlyn - who's mother came up to me to let me know her daughter talks nonstop about Sydney... i could tell because Ashlyn didn't want to let go of Sydney's hand.  Peyton talked about snack time with her friend Kylie and that she was also friends with Paige.

Soccer Practice, the girls never can get enough of practice, after practice the sprinklers came on and the kids played in the water for a lil while.  I think it was the highlight of the day.   The kids get a lil cranky on the way home - are we doing to much?  I think so.  They are missing naps.

Day 3 - The girls were in a groove getting to and from school, hanging out with friends, doing worksheets, playing on the playground.  Peyton conquered the firemans pole and Sydney was going to try on Thursday.

It was also Lane's first day of school, so we planned to meet up with him and his sisters for frozen yogurt.  What a blast.  We went to tops yogurt where the kids ran around like crazy, played volleyball with balloons in the store... yes, it was crazy, but oh so much fun.

Nana and Papa came over for dinner and we made Chicken Taco's.

Day 4 - Thursday both girls were shooting down the firemans pole, Paige was mad at Sydney and hanging out with Peyton and the weekend was fast approaching.  I headed out to meet a friend for coffee and walk around McKinley park, it was a beautiful morning, wishing I could have a morning like this everyday.

Friday - The girls brought home some of thier classroom work.  They were stoked that school was out for the weekend.  We met up with Papa, Grandma, Tio's Avila, Dominic, Donovan and Devin for Pizza and fun.

Cousins & Soccer

Here are some pictures of the kids hanging out @ Bianca's soccer tournament in Auburn.  It was a great tournament.  The first game on Saturday the girls lost 4-1 against the Mustangs.... I'm not sure what happened that game, but it put the girls in a position of needing to win the rest of the games in order to advance.  Amy and Tyler showed up to the first game with snacks... Yay for starbucks Iced Mocha's... i was in need for sure.

Game 2 the girls were down Madi and Bianca was playing defense in her spot.  Bianca can't remember much about the game and neither can I.  We won, getting the maximum points.  Game 3 was on Sunday and we were down players.  We were going to be playing with 9 girls on the field... and all we needed was a tie to advance to the championship against the Mustangs..  Velocity dominated the game with 9 players... and we got the tie we were looking for.

championship game we were back to full strength, if you can call 1 sub full strength...  I had to leave before the game to attend a sharing parents meeting but I got the highlights when everyone got home.  The game was evenly matched....  back and forth, Bianca was playing defense again.. and we needed a score.  There was a free kick for us, Eleanor hit the ball hard, sending it to Haley who headed it and Bianca ran up, controlled the ball, driibbled and scored.... the crowd went wild... and Velocity won....  The Mustang coach was pissed but after the game he went up to Ben and let him know that #7 was the MVP.....  that's my girl.. #7  way to go Bianca....
