Saturday Night Sleep Over

40 minute workout

Sydney and Peyton got a good work out playing on the slide in the backyard. I opted to keep Kallie busy most of the time by playing soccer with her. She loves the soccer ball, but sometimes she bites my ankles when she's trying to take the ball from me.... I've got a couple marks to show for the efforts.

speaking of soccer - last tuesday I played indoor for the first time in years.... I got a hat trick and a couple assists. I also thought I was going to throw up after the first half.... I was afraid to go back into the game.... so I sat out most of the second half... I did finally go back in... with 6 minutes to play.... it was a good six minutes.... scored two goals, one off a free kick and the other dribbling up and put it threw the goalie's legs.... - I'm looking forward to this Tuesday

Friday after work we went to visit Baby Devin...it was Peytons turn to hold Baby Devin, she enjoyed it. Sydney had a turn too, but Ben wasn't quick on the draw and didn't get any photo's.

The kids all played outside on the slide for a lil while, colored, and ate orange..... they actually stole Tio Rudy's mandarins, everytime he sat down with one the girls and boys would line up to eat the segments, poor Tio was left holding the peel.

Kallie goes to School

Saturday we signed Kallie up for doggie school. She met her pawmates. Cola -pitbull, Cookie - (rescued) lab, shep mix, Jenny Jumping Bean - terrier, Fergie - small white poodle, Moses Malone - HUGE basset hound w/ one eye, Buddie - mixed breed, Dori - bull mastif, Can't remember his name, Golden Lab..... - i think i got them all - kat is the dog trainer... she's a nut....

We practiced the Look, Release (all done), Sit and calling our dogs commands. Kallie was wonderful in class... everyone loved her and talked about how well behaved she was and how beautiful..... course once we are home... it's a new story....

born at 12:44 am weighing in at 7 lbs 10 oz, 20 inches long- he's the only baby closing in on Bianca's 8 lbs 2 oz. he has ten fingers and ten toes. very long ones at that. Tia Andria is resting -not really, but she's doing well. 15 minutes of pushing. a quick cut of the ambilical cord, it was around Devin's neck and he was out even gave a nice cry.

Friday I met my friend Julie and her daughter Jaqui for lunch at Rollie Cafe - it's French - the people are friendly and loud, but it was a lot of fun. Great company, yummie food, and the service was enchanting.... I got a salad with bagette and brie. Tastey.

I tried to make Friday night an early night... but it never happens that way. The kids drop off to bed by 9 and then somehow I never get to sleep til close to midnight.

Saturday I got the girsl fed and fresh diapers before I took off for a massage, it was so nice to get away from everything for a couple of hours and be pampered. I'm ready for another one already.
I got home just in time to make sure the girls had a busy Saturday. Bianca had an indoor soccer game, we left Sydney and Peyton at grandma and papa's house for about 90 minutes, then we picked them up and headed to a birthday party @ Tahoe park - for one of Bianca's teammates. We ate carnitas - yummie... I ended up taking the girls over to the playground. they love the slides and swings. I didn't bring my camera, not that I would have gotten many pictures, its a lil hard to watch two kids who like to go in different directions and snap photos... We played for almost 2 hours... sliding, chasing each other, crawling through tubes and swinging. There was only two ouchies... both on Sydney. First she was running on the sidewalk and tripped, scraping her nose and upper lip, cutting her bottom lip... it was messy... some blood and tears... but no sweat.. 10 minutes later Sydney was going down the rollerslide and her finger got stuck when she was at the bottom trying to get down, it wasn't bad.. no blood, no tears...

now the pictures... Last night after putting the girls to bed... Ben and I started watching a movie - We Own The Night - by 1115 I was falling asleep so I snuck off to bed. I always check on the girls before going to sleep, gotta kiss them goodnight one more time and cover them up... This is what I saw...

Sydney was diaperless... and we're pretty glad Peyton wasn't... but she managed to give herself a thong diaper... a poopy one at that..... GROSS... and the poop was like clay & stuck on good.



Both girls ended up waking up while we redressed them and cleaned Peyton up.

Kyle's Anniversary

Today felt like a long time coming, especially since Easter came early. We
received some cards on Friday, thinking about you cards, remembering
cards, and it felt great, I love that my friends still remember Kyle and
think about us and our family especially during difficult times, though if
you asked me a couple years ago... I never could have imagined getting to
this place I am now...

The morning started off pretty much the same way they always do, me
oversleeping the alarm, creeping around trying to get ready before Sydney
and Peyton wake up and realize it's a school day... and it never works. I
may get dressed but that's as far as I get. Someone always wakes up
crabby.... one baby is singing the praises of Mr Sunshine, while the other
wants milk... and not just any milk... mama's milk.... So the day begins...

The last two years on March 24th I'd wake up early and watch my DVD's of
Kyle - a great friend of ours made us a special DVD with lots of pictures of
Kyle, next I'd break out the home videos.... and I'd cry lots, missing my son.
The babies would usually wake up and watch with me... cuz I'd watch
throughout the day....

Today was different, I actually went to work on Kyle's anniversary

I dropped Sydney and Peyton off at daycare, they had a pretty good
morning, didn't have to fight with them to get dressed for once but they
wanted to watch Diego, and they wanted yogurt, and they wanted to go
play with Kallie.. and the list grew the longer we were home...

I got to work and had some emails letting me know that my friends were
thinking about Kyle and us, a couple phone calls, and a visit at my desk -
everything always leads to tears eventually - we talk about the memories
we shared with Kyle, the things we all remember... it's good to do, even
when I cry, I'm so glad I have the memories, and I'm so glad Kyle isn't
forgotten.

Our friend who lives in Denver called to let us know she was thinking about
us all. We see them every time they come home to Sacramento/Davis, and
we talk occasionally throughout the rest of the year, but everyone is so
busy with careers and kids, that we don't get to talk enough. Even when
the world is so busy spinning, they never miss a chance to call to let us
know that their thinking about us, or remembering Kyle on his birthday or
his anniversary - I love that about them

As I sit here and write... the tears won't stop flowing... I miss him so much and my heart still aches... Somethings never change.

I need to go to sleep.... so here are a few pictures
