Saturday parties

Lets celebrate - Logan's chef party was at 11. First time I didn't stay and chaperone the party. Tracey said to enjoy the away time guess she knew it wasn't something I got often. I hit target and got a new black boyfriend cardigan. Woohoo and then got coffee and started reading my book. The 5 love languages of children. I miss reading, so it felt good to indulge. The kids made pizzas and cupcakes at the party. The cake looked like a big pizza, very creative. The kids wore their aprons and had chef hats.
After the party we drove to Lincoln for Riley's 1st bday party. We had yummy carnitas, rice n beans and lots of snacks. The kids played and ate lots. Monster theme was the party and it was full of cute monster baskets that held food and drink. The kids all played well together. Boys vs girls most of the time. I didn't get any pictures so hopefully Amy will send me some.
Bianca missed the party spending the dy at raley field watching the EC eagles play on the big boy stadium. EC won and they all celebrated afterwards at leatherbys.

A lil tussle

Sydney and Peyton were out on the trampoline eating cupcakes when I heard screaming followed by crying. Sydney came in holding her eye. After further investigation I see a scrape on her eyelid and a knot on her eyebrow and the color slowing darkening. After an interview and interrogation I got what happened. Sydney standing on the outside rim of the tramp waiting for kallie to move so she can get down. Peyton thought she was taking to long and gave her a shove. Sydney smacked her face on the stool during the fall. OUCH

Friday fun day

I love waking up to the sound of Soft voices whispering so they won't wake me. Haha not in my house. Everyone is screaming at 6 am. Where is the brush? Give me some blanket!! as the girls curl up in my floor playing tug of war with a sheet. Chaos. But really I love lazy Fridays when I take Sydney and peyton to school. There is less yelling than on the mornings Ben needs to be out of the house at 630. I make a good breakfast for them. Today it was breakfast burritos. Egg, cheese, beans. Yumm. Kamren woke up and got to show off for his sisters. He loves getting himself dresses now. We danced and sang. DIG TWO. Kamren gets down.
I got a little extra cuddle time with the three amigos... And they got to school on time. Score one for me

Last night we baked cupcakes for Bianca's friends birthday. The girls minus Bianca helped mix, pour and bake but she did frost those six for the birthday boy. Nice job kiddos.

Night

Kamren is so stinkin cute. Where to start. I asked him what his name is and he said Kammie. Loved it. But it does sound Girly. Hopefully he can say Kamren soon or KAM.
He is nursing right now before bed. We had a great routine until daylight savings happened. Change the clocks and its all whacked.
715 was time to get ready for bed. Pjs, teeth, reading and then bed. It was a dream. All the little ones huddled around the glider in Kams room. We would read brown bear, I went walking, barnyard dance to name a few. Then i would read the chapter books for my lil big girls. Junie b jones. Lights out bed. Now it's not dark enough for anyone to want to get ready for bed. Boo.
Look at this cute boy. I love my spider man.

Little things

Being appreciated. Yes it's easy to do and I'm sure we can all do a little more appreciating.

Last night for example. I did five loads of laundry only to empty each clean basket into the foyer. I asked Sydney and Peyton to put their clothes away. A couple hours later I hear Sydney throwing a fit and Bianca yelling and chaos. An hour later I go upstairs to find Bianca and Peyton folding and putting all of the clothes away. So I say. Thank you so much for doing the laundry, I really appreciate when you help me out especially just because you want to. It makes me smile. Peyton also helped me hang and put away all of Kamrens clothes. It was very sweet.

My rant comes next. I was asked to creat a 20x30 poster for a campaign at work. They wanted a rush job. Everyone has a rush job. No one wants to go through the process set in place. She needed it in 2 weeks. Yes me to jump into a creative state to whip out posters for a password reset tool. I really had my plate full with other assignments so Andy said he could help out and after discussion and a couple meetings with the client we decide it can be done. Our design is simple and I won't go into the whole thing but we rush to photograph models and create the poster. It's awesome. They want changes. The changes ruin it for me. II make some of the changes and convince them to stick with my tag line. This article about said campaign is set to go out Monday morning. It's Friday. Still waiting for the OK to print on poster. I call them. It slipped her mind to tell me OK to print even though this is a rush and I emailed her twice. So I send to print 7 posters 20x30 and mounted in foam. I said they will be ready Wednesday. She says ok. Then it's time for me to leave Friday. Wait I need the PHOTO the girl in poster #2 as a web sized small tiny thumbnail for the article. So I stay LATE to complete.

Monday no article. Tuesday no article. I email them to see what's up. I worked my ass off to make this happen. R never responds. Finally I get a response from F saying yes they still need the posters Wednesday. So D rushes to mount them I hand deliver. F is very happy. Next day. No article still. No posters on display in every entrance at work. Email from R

There was a delay in the article. My manager wants the poster a thumbnail for the web. Not just the girl like I said before. I need it today. Article will post Monday and posters will display Monday.

Me. Steam coming from ears. Bitch I ain't doing it. HaHaHa. So angry. Not one thank you for all your hard work. Posters look awesome. No nothing. My cup is empty. I do not like R do not want to bust my ass again for R or anyone.

A great walk, coffee, venting and at the end of the day I will give her the web version for her article. Or maybe I will give it to her COB Friday. Or maybe I won't do it at all. I did email her saying I'm swamped I will try to get to it. Which meant. Bitch I don't care and you no longer matter to me.

Easy

All I want is for this mobile blogging to be easy. For me to have the chance to blog while taking a break, lunch, sitting in Kamrens room while he's dozing off. Maybe even on the stair climb to my office. I want pictures to load like Facebook, twitter or
Instagram.

Crazy work day. Please take photos of employees walking into work collecting bookmarks from DAC. Hello it was raining. No one wanted a photo op with wet wind blow hair. Fools were running past me, hands up covering their faces, or snubbing the poor gals handing bookmarks out. Not the best photo shoot in fact I called it an epic fail. Oh well.

Kamren got his birthday present for his Minos today. A cozy coupe police car. Woohoo. He loves it already.

First Day of First Grade

Mornings are tough... except when you're six.  The girls woke up early 6 am on their own.  They were dressed and ready for school before mom or dad climbed out of bed.  Kamren even woke up smiling.  The girls wanted to buy lunch because that's what big kids do.  The only thing the girls were not thrilled about....  The Hair Brush....  haha.  After we tamed their manes we headed out for a photo shoot. I was going between my iphone and my Nikon...  Facebook and Instagram were immediately tagged so happy to show off my kiddies.

The girls were a little sad that none of their best friends were in their class.  No Ashlin, Paige or Logan... What's a girl to do...Seven 1st grade classes, that's a record even with 24 kids in the class.  Mrs Donald seems nice and the girls like that they still get to take a healthy snack for first recess.  Recess turned out to be good, the girls were able to play with Kindergarden friends.  Lunch seems really early at 10:55 but three recesses got the girls so happy to be big kids.  Schools out at 2:30...

I asked the girls if they ate lunch together, nope they ate with strangers rather than to eat together... So sad...  Here's what I got in the morning before school.

Thumbs up or maybe down

1st Hair Cut

When it comes to hair cuts... I wanted to put it off as long as I could. I was thinking three years old, obviously the way Kamren's hair grew I was hoping for a two year old haircut but even that couldn't wait... So 17 months old.. and it was really time for a haircut. The hair didn't want to lay to the side, only go right in his eyes... So I finally agreed to a haircut as long as we kept it the same style... Here are some before...

someone is excited about the thought of a a haircut

second thoughts on the whole thing

Ride em cowboy
Once we arrived at EJ's Little People all Kamren wanted to do was push the vacuum around.  I kept putting him on the sadle and the tractor and he was getting angry... Like Hulk Angry...  The stylist tried to get a good before photo on the tractor and then we whisked him off to the big chair for a trim.  He was unhappy, whined and cried the entire time.  He didn't sit still and we are lucky it turned out as well as it did... though uneven and longer on one side.  The cost $30 for the experience I guess.
After shots
I want this vacuum mom.  I want to give him a real working one

Six Flags with Cousins

Checkin out the bunny

The girls photo op with the Coyote and Bunny
We went to Six Flags with Tios Avila for Donovan's 7th birthday. We always have a blast when we get together. We took in a show and rode as many rides as we could before the day was over. Here are just a few of the highlights. Donovan and Peyton are now tall enough to get on the Cobra without a parent or big sister. Devin is now also tall enough to ride with a parent. Tia Andria and I got on V2 with Tio Rudy, Bianca and Reni. That was an experience. I screamed so loud and so much that my throat was sore. The big kids and grown ups minus me and Andria all rode Superman. I'm still not excited about it.

Baking with mommie

Ben took the girls to pick out soccer boots and then hang out at the Velocity practice, so it was just Kamren and me hanging out together.  We decided to make Mississippi Mud and get dirty.  Kamren helped clean the bowls, beater and spoon.  Check him out

Water Play

First Stop - Greek Village for some lunch.  I decided to treat the kids to one of my fancy groupons.  We couldn't wait to try a bunch of authentic Greek food.  We got a Grecian Chicken Sandwich, Sweet potato fries, Gyro, Pilsner Soup, Feta Cheese balls, Pita bread and Greek fries.  The food was excellent, we pretended to be food critics, my kids are a riot.

Off to the New water park that's in old Rancho.  The water park had 2 slides and lots of water action... and it's free.  Why can't we get one in our hood?

water action at it's best
