Day 1 of Vacation

Sydney and Peyton slept in bathing suits last night, and we had a girls only slumber party in my room. No boys allowed. Bianca slept on the floor, while Sydney and Peyton were snuggled up next to me.

Honestly it didn't start out as a slumber party. Ben was downstairs playing left, right, center with Bianca. The girls were tucked in bed and I was asleep. I heard shouting. Sydney yelling that she had to go potty. I was in and out of sleep and hearing it. Finally I got up and let her out of the cage, I mean gate. Then she started screaming she wanted the light on. I didn't feel like turning the light on, it wasn't like it was pitch dark anywhere. The bedroom light was on, the hall light was on, it was fireworks bright. Still screaming. Still not giving in. 5 minutes later I put her back in the cage, I mean room, closed the gate and screamed obsenities at Ben for making me wake up to take a crying kid to potty. The screaming never ended, mine or Sydney's and finally I packed two babies into my bed and we all fell asleep, somewhere after the sun started to rise, Bianca must have came in.

Waking up is easy to do... unless it's a work day. Woke up bright and early, you'd think I heard the rooster crow. Is that what they do? Sydney and Peyton woke up soon after and they were ready for Vacation, ready for Diego's party.

After three hours of Sydney telling me we were going to be late for Diego's swim party, we arrived. We were one of the firsts. The pool was nice. Manor Pool in Davis, check it out. it has that zero entrance, or ocean entrance. There was a lap pool, a water slide and spray ground. They hand out life vests to the kids too.

One boy, Jedediah (not really sure how you spell it) he was chasing a beach ball deeper and deeper and all of a sudden he couldn't touch. he was managing to keep his head above water and then he went under. I ran over and grabbed him up even before the lifeguard got off her chair. He said Thank you. Very polite lil boy, I helped him back into the shallow end and then he scooted off to find his mom and get a life vest. A lil while later he grabbed my hand and started talking to me, he wanted me and Peyton to go play in the spray zone with him.

We party was a hit. We ate wheat crust pizza... my personal favorite, salads and fresh fruit. Can't beat that. After the swimming session closed we moved out to the regular park where the kids decorated cupcakes. We played for another hour or so and then headed home.

And did you see or feel the rain? How bizzare was that.

Ben and Bianca went shopping at Macy's while Peyton, Sydney and I played in the backyard with Kallie, watched Harry Potter and went for walk. Bianca got a bunch of skinny jeans, some tank tops and some sandles. Sydney and Peyton got roxy sweatshirts and some princess stuff.

Taco's for dinner and then I dragged Bianca to Old Navy with me, I got a shirt and the babies got some shorts and bathing suit bottoms. Bianca didn't want anything.

1053 and the babies are still chattering away and Bianca is cleaning her bedroom.

Day 2 begins tomorrow with a trip to Folsom Lake with Tia Amy and Uncle Ty. Peyton can't wait to be the Captain and drive the boat.

Soccer & Sushi

Soccer season is upon us.....

Land Park Velocity now in session. Figure 8's. Juggling. Dribbling. Scrimmages. What fun. Practice falls on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I'm not sure of the time slots, I don't see much of Ben or Bianca on those days. Some nights they come home around 830, other times it's after 1000.

Tuesday I had a soccer game at 810, against the Soccer Moms - that name is just not them. Sure there might be one or two moms on the team, but their daughters are on the team as well. I knew it would be a tough game, and they took the lead within a few seconds of the whistle blowing.

Soccer Jim was delighted to hear I was bringing Sydney and Peyton to the game. They were going to be the cheerleaders... yeah, I bribed them just a lil bit. Skittles. Need I say more. As soon as I mentioned Soccer Jim the girls chimed in.. "Will Sherri be there?" Sorry to disappoint the ladies.... but Sherri is still in pismo - soakin up the sun.... They did get a lil fix of Sherri who's only a phone call away.

The game was back and forth, high scoring 9 v 10 with a loss in our column. Lexi had 4 goals, I had 3 goals and Kara had 3 goals. I had a lil whiplash.. one of the friendlier girls on the SM decided to take me out... yeah I know.. they were a lil frusterated... gettin schooled by the 'old ladies' I know.... Let's take out that one who thinks she's got some dribble moves... Face Plant. I still have all my teeth.

Ben and Bianca showed up midway through the game and afterwards we went to Sushi with Soccer Jim. We closed the place down. Soccer Jim was sharing stories - the Watermelon story. Afterwards... Peyton looks up from her miso soup and says "Can you tell us another story. About a Strawberry?" When he said he didn't know any she said "What about an orange?" She's so flippin cute.

Freaky Friday Hair Style

I actually tried to snag this hair do from our friends Rose and Marie.... but as soon as I started fixing Sydney's hair she said... "Just like Anna's friends hair. Mommmmmm.... I look like Anna's friend on MY movie Freaky Friday"

Swimmin Summer Fun

Sydney and Peyton have been talking about Maria's pool for weeks now, they couldn't wait for Saturday. We planned a BBQ and lots of swimming. The weather was perfect, almost 100 in the shade ~lol~

The kids couldn't wait to get in the pool. The men couldn't wait to get in front of the big screen TV. John BBQ'd tri tip, hamburgers and hotdogs. There were baked potatoes, corn, salad, blueberries, strawberries and homemade icecream cookie sandwiches. Can you say YUMMIE.
Maria and I hung out with the kids lounging in the pool, the water was perfect.

Seems the world is really a small place. Ben and John actually knew each other. Ben and Tim were best friends growing up and John and Sean were best friends as well.. Oh.. and Tim and Sean are brothers... So the four of them spent a lot of years together hanging out. John and Ben had a good time catching up and talking sports.. ~rolls eyes~ Actually I was glad that Ben had a good time, or at least pretended....

Can't wait for our next Swimming and BBQ date.

TGIF - Fun in the Sun

Always the spontaneous one. I called my sister in law Andria at 10 am. Sydney took over the conversation and when she was through, we were all meeting at the park to play in the water and eat lunch. It was really all my doing... I knew Tia wouldn't be able to tell the girls no... It would be much easier to tell me that.... Peyton threw a fit and we had to call back so she could make sure that Dominic, Donovan and Devin were all meeting us at the park.

I forgot to charge my camera, so I only got a few pictures.... running downstairs to get my camera now... I need to charge it before I forget again.

Back. Sydney is crying and having a melt down because she wants me to lay on the bed and watch Sleeping Beauty. Peyton and Daddy went to Costco. The kids haven't napped at all today. Ben wanted to take the girls to see Up at the theater. I would rather take them earlier in the day.

Can you tell I let them pick what to wear. Sydney decided on pieces from different suits. Was nice because I didn't get the 'are they twins questions I usually get'

Here are a few pictures. I'm waiting for Andria to get me the others. We took a bunch between the two of us... and her handy dandy camera. I changed her ISO on her camera... Hopefully the pictures turned out FABULOUS.

Most of the pictures I have I took before Andria and the boys got there. Can't wait to add more. Accept for these first ones... They were added last and yet they show up first. I didn't even get one with my camera of Dominic. I did get a lot of great ones of him playing in the water though.
