learning tower

so I finally talked Ben into buying the learning tower...

and his first request was that we make a cake.....

Normally if I'm in the kitchen... the girls always want up.... either me holding them while trying to cook, clean, bake.... or they want to sit on the counter and help...

the girls, all three enjoy using the tower, but the picture of the three of them was to dark.. oops... now the girls are always saying - "me help you cook mama" So far it's beeen a cake, pancakes, and salad... yeah we haven't been home much ~lmao~

Here are a few pictures while making the cake... which Sydney didn't even want to try... I guess the cake mix was enough.... Peyton cracked the egg pretty good... but Sydney pretty much just crushed the entire egg in her hand... I guess we have to work on that.

This weekend we put in some plants (23) and some bark.... okay we still have some stuff to do.... but we worked our fingers to the bone.... Ben did most of the hard work... but I did dig about 4 holes and put the plants in... cut all the weed fabric, pushed bark around.... I need a break from my weekend. Here are a few pictures

the girls both run to ring the door bell at grandma and papa's... over and over til someone answers the door... they say quick hello's... and then it's out to the backyard they go. Peyton flips over one of the carts... to make sure it was spiderless... it was so cute. They fought over bouncy balls.... Sydney threw a fit because Peyton tried to kiss her... Sydney smacked Peyton on the head because she kept grabbing her cart.... it was utter chaos...
Ben and I went to see What happens in Vegas and Grandma and Papa enjoyed the girls.

according to Bianca this is the nighty night post.


We had a busy Saturday, after everyone left we took a trip to Old Navy where we bought some shorts and tanks... then dropped Bianca off at her girlfriends birthday party. it was a sleep over... and Peyton was really upset that Bianca was sleeping away without her.


Ben took Kallie for a walk and the girls and I followed close behind. We didn't get very far because Sydney was being slow and Peyton was trying to catch up with Ben and Kallie.. So we headed home for Otter Pops. We sat out in the backyard, the girls played on the slide and we ate pops. The girls made sticky messes all over themeselves so it was off to the bath.


After a long bath... the water started out warm and was quite chilly by the end of the bath... they put on some shorts, brushed their teeth, got lotioned up.. and finally after about ten minutes of good nights... they fell asleep...

Brunch

Amy, Tyler, Nana and Papa came over on Saturday for breakfast, but since we didn't actually eat til 11... we called it brunch. It was a family affair, everyone helped in the making of the breakfast.... well minus the guys. Ben supervised and drove everyone nuts.... while Tyler and Papa sat on the couch watching TV.... originally we were going to Amy & Tyler's house, but Friday they came home to a sauna.... the air conditioning was out - and the record 100 degree temps weren't nice....

Sydney & Peyton helped stir the pancake mix. We had regular and chocolate chip pancakes, bacon, eggs, and hashbrowns... good stuff

Okay so this is amazing to me.... I've been so stoked telling everyone

the girls always take a bath with those foam letters and numbers... usually while we're in the bath they like to stack the letters.... I try to point out the colors and what letters or numbers they are holding, and usually they repeat them...

out of the blue the girls were taking a bath and Sydney (my quiet baby) pulls out a letter D and says D... then she pulls out an R.. says R... T, U, O, E, Y, P... it was so cool.... I was so excited... so she's been carrying around her letters everywhere we go now.... in her purse... ~smiles~

Barefoot in the Park -

I know I know... I haven't been blogging much.. and I'm always the first to bitch when someone isn't blogging... I've been crazy busy at work.... and I haven't been sleeping much.... and it's obviously not due to blogging... ~lmao~ So I'm going to try and put some pictures up at least... cuz I know some of you are tired of looking at that darn cake everytime you pop in to see what's up....

A Birthday Celebration

Sunday we celebrated my 34th birthday. Sydney and Peyton came into the room with the usual "Morning Sunshine, Morning Sweetheart" followed by "Happy Birthday Mommie, Happy Birthday You" it totally melted my heart. I can still remember when Bianca uttered those first words... such wonderful memories...

Ben surprised me with a BBQ with mi familia.... he wanted to have two parties for me... one with my friends and one with the family... but I ended up with Strep Throat Wednesday and he decided he didn't know if I'd be okay for a party... Well yes... i was ready - !st to arrive my sister in law Andria, whom we refer to as Tia Andria most of the time... Dominic, Donovan & Devin. Rudy arrived later with my in laws. My other sister in law Carmen (Tia Carmen) arrived with Kalyn and Matthew, and then my parents and nephew Patrick came... Missing in Action were my sister and Tyler.



Ben grilled steaks, hotdogs and onions. There were chips, salsa, Tecate and soda....Ben surprised me with my favorite cake from Ettores - Strawberry White Chocolate Mousse - it was YUMMIE.

Bianca and all the big cousins played school upstairs... while Donovan, Sydney and Peyton had the run of the backyard.... All the cousins played and the grown ups gossiped.... and the boys and girls played soccer.... The weather was perfect.

I'd also like to announce Sydney and Peyton were accident free... it's strickly panties for those two.

Bianca treated me to a foot massage... and I've got coupons.... Breakfast in Bed, and Spa Day... Yeah, can't wait to cash those in....


...and I got a nice plant and some homemade mud with bugs, some starbucks gift cards, starbucks goodies (Mug & Yummies) Fifa Street 3 and Grand Theft Auto IV - it was a wonderful birthday.
