Baptism

SUNDAY

What a wonderful day for a baptism... okay I was a lil excited about the whole thing finally happening. The air was cool and crisp, I love that feeling. We made it to the church with plenty of time, we were actually the first families there. We laid the girls dresses out in the chapel, so they'd be set after the baptismal water was poured on them. There were a total of 7 kids during the 930 service. The 730 service had two sets of twins, 930 had our twins, and the noon had a set of twins also... wow, there's lots of babies...

We lined up in the back of the church to make our grand entrance, Peyton, Sydney, Mom, Dad, Bianca and Nino Rudy and Nina Andria.... then came the other families... Peyton went first at the baptismal fountain, I held her over, placing her feet and legs in the warm water, she enjoyed it, Deacon Fong poured the water over her head, to her it was the best type of shower... She wore a swimmie. It was sisters turn next, Daddy held her over the fountain, she enjoyed the warm water too. After the water we placed them in towels and took them into the chapel to change them into their beautiful dresses... We had four people to dress the girls and about 7 minutes to get it all done... We managed. YEAH for us. We finished the ceremony, holding the girls up so everyone could see them.... I think they liked that... During the end of Mass Sydney got GRUMPY... she was yelling and very upset.... She wouldn't fall asleep either... Peyton on the other hand was napping... We took some pictures after the Mass then headed to the reception.

We had fun, it's always good to get together with family and friends and eat yummie food. Any excuse is good for me. We are a partying family for the most part, most of the time it's birthday parties... but sometimes there are just BBQ's... ~lol~ The girls enjoyed visiting with everyone and nursing lots.... Sydney didn't sleep at all during the party, but Peyton got a good nap in while being held. When we got home Sydney was out for a good three hours, and she woke up in a happy mood. She was throwing smiles all around.

Rollin and a Rockin

Sydney rolled over from tummy to back for the first time while laying on the floor. There's been some rolling over while on the bed.... but never on the floor while playing... She was having a great time, she'd roll over right onto Peyton, and she'd laugh. Peyton meanwhile isn't rolling over, she's cleaning the blanket with her mouth while she's doing her tummy time. I grabbed the video camera to capture the moment - and all I got was a quick shot of the two of them and then the fastest roll over around, It was like she was on her tummy and magically she was on her back....

Now that Sydney knows how to roll, she's just a rollie pollie. It's exciting.

Peyton on the other hand is rockin, if you sit her on your leg (I'm sitting on the floor), she'll lean forward and push off the carpet with her feet and push herself back, like she's in a rocking chair. She did it for at least five minutes before she got tired and started to doze off, I think she gets it from me when I'm rocking her in the LAZY BOY.

SATURDAY - Babies first wedding

Scott ties the knot. My oldest friend Scott got married on Saturday. We've been friends since the summer of 1986, twenty years now. It's hard to believe we've been friends that long and even harder to believe he found someone who wanted to marry him ~wink wink~ She's not the best judge of character... cuz she doesn't care much for me... ~lol~ it all goes back to when Scott let me borrow his 4Runner and he'd never so much as let her drive it, let alone borrow it... ~shrugs shoulders~ oh well... we did manage to get past that... I guess once I got to know her a lil better and once she got to know me a lil more... everything worked out.

They got married at St. Philomeans, at 2 o Clock. It was a strange event. Doreen tripped while walking down the isle, she caught herself luckily, she got a lil wabbily again, I'm thinking she wanted to turn and run the other way ~lmao~ She finally made it... The Priest mentioned - as he was stuttering - that he didn't like that they were starting late and he was nervous and anxious because he had to take confessions at 430 and then do a mass.... kind of a strange announcement before performing a wedding. One of the kids in the wedding party - the ring bearer - got a lil upset and bored - was jumping up and down on the stage, near the alter and it was HOLLOW, it made quite a racket... sounded like someone was working on the roof... A guy in the wedding party (doreen's brother) yelled something I couldn't understand... (I guess he said it's okay to cry - didn't go with the kid stomping I guess) the Priest turned and got ANGRY... he said this was a sacred moment and they had to redo it... he was really aggitated after that.. he almost dropped the rings... and he got upset at Scott for not reciting the vows and looking at Doreen.. Scott was looking at the priest during part of it.. and the priest got upset... it was quite crazy... BUT they finished... YEAH. now they are off to Europe... (or so I thought.. the plan was to leave on Sunday... but they just stopped by the house and it's Monday night about 9pm. Things didn't go the way they planned... they got into San Francisco airport twenty minutes late and they couldn't board the plan.... twenty minutes late for the hour early check in, not twenty minutes late for the actual flight... so they had to change the flight out of Sac for Tuesday morning, and it cost another $2500 on top of what they already paid... OUCH it's expensive. Half of the wedding party didn't show up at the Capital for pictures... it was Doreen's side of the family. She said they are so GHETTO... I know what she means sometimes. I guess there was more drama at the reception - we didn't make it cuz the babies usually go to bed about 8 and the reception started at 6, I didn't want to have cranky babies at the baptism on Sunday)

Sydney wasn't in the mood for the wedding... she got fussy and her and daddy sat in the way back of the church. Bianca, Peyton and I stayed up close and personal.

thursday out and about

Peyton gets her groove on

Sydney practices the airplane

SYDNEY Mom got us dressed in some matching red overall skirts. We really like the red, especially when we cry, our face can match the outfit - color coordination at it's finest.

PEYTON So we played in the grass a lil while, while mom was snappin photo's - we were trying to run our feet over the grass. Sydney got to touch it... check out that face... I on the other hand, well I was getting down with the beats, my own beats

SYDNEY The wind was blowing slightly, made for some strange noises, I couldn't tell if anyone else noticed... I'm sure my lil sister did, cuz I noticed her getting her groove on. Guess what? Yep, world cup and I'm already practicing my airplane move, can't wait to hear them yell GOL!

Peyton We met daddy at his work today, he gave us the royal tour. Actually we didn't see everyone, but I made quite an impression on Lilly, she was laughin, I had jokes. I was feeling really comfy with her, gave her my specialty "I like you" I didn't get to meet everyone, some folks were in meetings and mom hauled me away for a nursing but I could hear Sydney putting on a show

Sydney People love to hear me talk, well I think my lil sister gets a lil frusterated because I'm louder, bigger and I rule the crib, okay well enough said. I had everyone going, I gave them a lil time to speak, but I held the conversation on my own for the most part. I put on the charm. Not sure who all stopped by, dad was holding me and mom snuck away for some quiet time with Peyton.

The girls were knocked out about fifteen minutes, the time it took to get home from I Street. They were raising the dead by the time I sat down, everyone was cranky and overtired... I had a lot of rocking to do... finally I got both babies down for a lil nap. Usually Thursdays are early days for Bianca, but they had a field trip to the aquatic center so I was picking her and Kelsie up at 330, made it with time to spare and we hit the gym.... I had four kids at the gym, no one seemed to mind, they watched over binkies and crowd control while I made my round on the equipment. Bianca dumped Sydney off on me as soon as I got on the bike... so we cruised around on the bike, mostly talking to our new friend Heather (the mom) and Mauve (the baby) - They go to our church... yep we own a church - okay we share a church. So we did lots of chatting and the bike ride felt so quick... I hope we run into them again soon. We have one other friend (Kelsie - the baby) don't know mommy's name yet.

After the gym we grabbed some Taco's and went to ISA to watch soccer and see Brandy and Jack... They were late... Brandy's always late, but now she has an excuse ~smile~ we hung out for a lil bit. Bianca held onto Syd and I had Pey. Sydney did a lot of flirting with Jack and let her self be heard... Peyton flirted a lil bit too, but she was tired and not in the mood to talk. Jack just stared into my girls blue eyes - mesmorized by their beauty ~lmao~ We had fun....

When we got home... it was a cry fest.... lots of tears, crying, lots of mama rocking and rolling, nursing and cursing - opps delete that part... ~lmao~ Finally got those crazy girls into bed, spent a lil time with Bianca messing around and then we all hit the hay.

Bumbo

Sydney and Peyton are always trying to sit up. Whenever they are in the bouncer or swing they are always leaning forward trying to sit up like big kids. We saw the Bumbo at Goores and decided that they looked like a good chair. The Bumbo Baby Seat is a snug and cozy environment for your baby. This revolutionary infant chair is uniquely designed according to the baby’s posture. The Bumbo enables babies to sit upright all by themselves! (can be used as early as 6 weeks, and they can use them at least til they are 14 months, and longer is they choose). The girls seemed to really love their Bumbo's....

Seeing Doubles

Yesterday we went to Raley's to do some grocery shopping, I was picking out apples when I saw a couple from Sharing Parents and our twins classes, their babies had arrived. No one had heard from them, so it was nice to see them in the flesh and their darling babies. She said she saw the announcement in the newsletter that we had delivered healthy baby girls. They had a boy - John and a girl - Gabriella. They are 14 weeks old, very cute babies. the boy is bald and the girl had lots of dark hair. We ended up taking up the entire fruit isle talking about our experiences, the pregnancy, the birth and taking care of our babies.... we talked for at least 40 minutes... People would stop and oogle the babies, thinking it was strange to see two sets of twins, they'd ask lots of questions too. When we finally did manage to go about with our shopping, a lady came up to me and said. "did you know there is another set of twins shopping too?" ~lmao~ Yep, I knew it...

Anyhow it got me to thinking about all the friends I've made through sharing parents, people I would have never met if Kyle were still with us today. There is not a day that goes by that I don't wish Kyle was here, but I am thankful for the friends I've met along the way, the people that understand me, the people I understand. They are the only ones that really get me, that know how I feel, because they feel it too. Everyone from my group is having babies or have delivered. We share in each others joys of having the babies and also in the fears of the unknown.

I'm so thankful that I have these precious baby girls. One that looks just like Bianca and one that looks just like Kyle.

Sunday in the Park

Saturday Night my brother brought my nephew Patrick over - LATE... he was supposed to drop him off at six, but he didn't drop him off til almost eight... yeah I was not happy with Josh. Patrick is five... he was ready to go to bed by 830... Bianca managed to keep him awake til ten...

We woke up early for church. Bianca helped Patrick get ready, she was his hairstylist. It was cute. I had the luxury of getting myself and two babies ready. Yeah, you think daddy could get one baby ready... NOT

Sydney slept during most of church, Peyton nursed and slept. Miranda, Ty and Nami showed up.... I guess I can scratch the head and shoulders off my list for her. After church we went to Hoppy Brewing Co for breakfast....it was yummie... get this... kids eat for .99 on sundays and mondays (I didn't know this). After breakfast, the waitress said they were doing a promotion and each adult entree came with a bottle of beer to take home... guess what... Miranda took all the beer ~pouts~ Okay, I don't drink a lot of beer. 1 - I'm nursing 2 - I just don't have time to drink 3 - I'm nursing and these babies are enough to drive me to drink

From church we went to Miranda's and hung out. The girls played in the bedroom and Ty was supposed to be playing xbox with Patrick, only he wanted to play with Ben more... and then when he finally gave Patrick a remote.... he kept playing one player (even though the game was two player) He was so not nice. Patrick kept asking Ty to let him play... it was pathetic...

Finally we left for the park. The girls messed around at the park for a lil while, then we played a version of baseball... okay pitch and hit. It was fun to watch Ben hit the ball really far and the boys chase after it. If Ty would get to the ball first, Patrick would grab him and they would both tumble to the ground. If Patrick got to the ball first... that meant that Ty was to tired to run after the ball at all. If Bianca got the ball first - it was no fair.... After they got tired of letting Ben hit the ball... I pitched to them. They got three hits or three strikes, which ever came first. They both struck out a few times.... Ty would cry... But they were all smiles when they were hitting the homeruns... I'm an awesome pitcher... I gave up at least ten home runs to them.

The babies slept almost the entire time at the park. I was glad we left when we did.... because Sydney cried for half of the walk back to Miranda's. We hung out for a lil while... and Ty actually let Patrick play video games with him. Nami and Bianca played dress up and chess club....

I forgot my camera at home, I was sad. I would have loved to get some pictures while we were out enjoying the sunshine.

more pictures from the creek

Bianca, Zach and Sydney smile big for the camera. Zach was looking at his mom, Bianca was checking out the dog, and Sydney was drooling was trying to figure out where all the flashes were coming from.

Daddy is putting his best girl forward,

although he's not looking as happy as he should.

What's wrong with that picture

mornin

Rise and shine mama, I know you can hear me... I'm ready to see the world. I've got a big smile and I know the bright sunshine is waiting just outside the window. Can we please go for a walk.

Check me out, I'm crawling... over you Peyton. Watch out I'm taking over the crib. "who's your sista?"

Sydney is all smiles when she wakes up and greets the day. "Good mornin mama, you got some of that yummie milk waiting for me? I got a beautiful smile for you..."

"Good mornin mama sunshine - Wait mama, what about me... I'm thirsty too, and I'm withering away here, you feed Sydney first and she drinks all the whole milk and leaves me with the non-fat milk, I need the fatty milk, so please let me nurse first"

more pictures from the creek

Peyton, Bianca, Sydney and Zach all giving a look at the camera, but there were three camera's going and not everyone was looking at the same camera.

Pictures at the Creek

Peyton front and center, giving a sideways look at everyone else.

Bianca taking over - Peyton started crying while Zach was holding her, and big sister grabbed her and made her smile again. I think she told a blonde joke.
Serious look from Peyton, she's watching Zach, Uncle Rick and Sydney playing

the creek

We visited the creek today, not a real creek, but it was our first long trip. We drove to Walnut Creek to visit Great Grandma, Aunt Roxann, Uncle Rick, Ryan, Zach, Doris, and Kelly (the big dog). It was a long trip for us, Sydney fell asleep right away, but Peyton tried to stay awake, she watched the big sister who was watching the Corpse Bride on the DVD player, and listening though the headphones.

PEYTON "the entire trip I've been trying to figure out what those huge things are that are covering my sisters ears, she's totally ignoring me, normally she's talking to me, smiling at me or something. I've let out a couple yells, and it doesn't even phase her. What could be more fascinating than me?"

Peyton finally dozed off about five minutes before we arrived. The babies were all smiles upon arrival. Sydney was happy to be awake and out of her carseat. She went right to uncle rick and started in with the smiles. Peyton was a lil shy, she was mostly tired and gave a few smiles, even chuckled half a dozen times, but Sydney was excited, she showed off her gums as much as she could. Everyone was busy baby watching. Great Grandma talked to the babies and they smiled and let her know they were happy, and that they remembered her from the last visit. The boys were pretty fascinated by the babies, especially Zach, who managed to hold both babies, not at the same time... but he was all smiles while holding them. Bianca was right next to him to let him know if he wasn't doing something right, or to grab the babies at the first cry, which happened - since Zach knew how to hold the babies.

Aunt Roxann walked in from the store, she was excited and went right to the bathroom to wash her hands so she could hold the babies... She held Peyton first and then Sydney. Peyton got a lil cranky, she was hungry, but Sydney showed Aunt Roxann the gums and some smiles, even gave her a toot toot. While the babies nursed and got clean diapers, Rick and Roxann busyed themselves in the kitchen making a scrumptious lunch. We had sandwiches - a tray with lunch meats to choose from, and cheese, potato salad, sun chips and ruffles, fresh strawberries, watermelon and pineapple.... YUMMIE YUMMIE I got good food in my tummy. Since the babies dined on breast milk and were still tired and cranky, we did a lot of pacing the floor and listening to some crying. Bianca, Zach and Ryan went outside to play, Bianca loves going to visit her cousins, she always has so much fun and lucky for me she gets worn out.

Doris stopped by and Sydney showed her a couple smiles before dropping off to sleep. Peyton followed suit. The babies slept for about 45 minutes (at most) enough to recharge. They made the rounds again, smiling, coooing, and enjoying the company. They sat outside for a lil while, enjoying the sunshine, well looking at the sunshine from the shade. They nursed some more and finally we let the family get some peace and quiet - by saying adios.

just tired

first feeding call was at 143, that after going to sleep at 1130, next feeding came about 342, next feeding 530, 645, 800... well that sucked... Ben stayed home from work... yes he's still sick... Whats worse than crying babies? sick men. You know it's true, they are the biggest babies of all, and because I already have two babies at home, I'm so not sympathetic... I used to be, I used to take really good care of Ben when he was sick, but now... I don't have the time or energy. I felt bad because he wanted me to go to the urgent care with him. (our dr's decided to toss us to the curb for some strange reason... and western health advantage said he can't see a new dr til June 1... what the hell...) Ben made a quick trip, he said the line was out the door....

both babies decided it was time to play early on this morning... so we did... we messed around. I think I ate breakfast somewhere around 7:30, never got to really go back to sleep. I did take one baby back to bed with me at 8...but we were up at 830... I had a day planned... going to my parents house... but that never happened. Bianca's carpool buddy - Kelsie was coming over after school, and it was an early day. the day flew by... I took the kiddos to pick up the tweens... Ben was off to urgent care for another try at getting inside the door.

I took the tweens for blizards at diary queen... not something I really needed... we came home and I watched my soap... and then played a game with Bianca and Kelsie, we did some fun gossiping and girl talk... we had lots of fun. Took the kids outside and they ran around with the dog for awhile. Kelsie went home about 6.

I wanted Chipotle... Poor Ben... he's on the BRAT (banana, rice, applesauce, toast) diet.. he's so not happy. I had a yummie chicken bowl, I think I like the jasmine rice. After dinner I took a cat nap with Peyton... woke up about nine.. yeah about an hour nap. We all watched some tv.. and here I am blogging. I need to take some new pictures of the kids... and get them uploaded.. maybe tomorrow.

Mama needs a half caf

Yesterday I put the babies in the crib for some kickin back time. They enjoyed doing the bicycle and raisin the roof while chattin it up. I put clothes away and chatted with them. I ended up putting Sydney in the crib to nap a couple times... and then last night I wasn't sure I wanted her to actually sleep in the crib... so I took her out and put her in the co sleeper with her sister. Sydney went to sleep at 9 and Peyton went to sleep closer to 11.

Get this.... I woke up a couple times during the night.. but didn't wake the babies... and they slept til 445 am... that's soooooooooooooooooo long... I nursed them both, pumped a gallon (okay really 4 or 5 ounces) and then went back to bed til 7 when they both woke up and nursed and decided it was play time. I was still crazy tired...

at 9 am.. Ben walked into the house.... home again... dang it... he's been sick on and off for over a week..... and i don't want to get sick, and I sure as heck don't want the babies or bianca to get sick... why oh why can't he get better.

Amy came over at 930 - we had a day planned... at first we planned on going to the Mommie and Me class.... but i realized bianca had the appt at the orthodontist.. the evaluation... so we picked her up and rushed there, she brushed her teeth really quick before the appt. didn't take long for them to tell us the recommendation - a two parter.. first phase - expander for the top of her mouth, she's got a narrow top jaw... a crossbite... ect... $6800 for braces.... she starts in june... she is so EXCITED.... she can't wait... the sooner the better for her.

Next stop, home to nurse babies and then to the babies dr... Sydney weighs 14 lbs 2 oz and Peyton is 12 lbs 4 oz. No measurements on the height. the babies have a cold, head cold only. the lungs are clear.. or so Diane said.... keeping a close eye on them - no fever....

Home to nurse again - i totally forgot the Ulta stop... meeting Brandy at the Gym at 4... she called and FLAKED at 350, I didn't get the message, didn't matter I was still going to the gym. She said Friday... I'll be there, who knows if she will.

Sunday Surprise

We went to the in-laws house and I got online to check myspace. Everyone knows I have so much trouble with myspace at home so I seldom check, but I was so excited when I saw a message from my friend Marea.

We are highschool friends and we got back in touch probably five years ago and then lost contact and got back in touch a few years ago and then she moved away and then she came back and we both went through some things... Well I had a message on myspace from her... I was stoked. I wrote her back and then she called me... we chatted a lil bit and then Sydney started crying and needed to eat.

I'm so happy for Marea, she's got a little girl Laila Lu, she's five months old now, so Laila, Sydney and Peyton are gonna be close in age, hopefully they'll be friends like Marea and me. Her daughter is so cute, she's got lots of hair (at least in the picture I saw). I'm looking forward to meeting her.

I'm so excited for Marea and Travis, Laila is a such a treasure.

Sunday

Bianca keeps talking about nurtured... she's nurturing Peyton or so she claims

Mom and Pops got up early, of course I'm always up, but I decided to make some coffee and read one of my parenting magazines while the babies slept. I got about half way through when Peyton woke up again and wanted to play... sometimes they are all smiles and happy, fun, fun in the morning.. Today was one of those no cry wake ups. We played for a lil while and then Peyton decided she needed more milk, so she nursed and dropped off quickly.

We planned on going to church @ 930, we got a late start but made it to church nonetheless. We had to cram into the last pew, church was packed. we decided to carry the babies in today, no baby bjorn or wrap... my arms were sore... Daddy held Sydney and I held Peyton, Peyton nursed a couple times and went mimi. Sydney was asleep the entire service. Miranda, Ty and Nami were supposed to meet us at church... they were no shows... I'd like to state that I called miranda a few times today and she's refusing to take the calls -- Bad Friend.

One of the girls from my gym was at church, she recognized me... must be because I had the twins with me, she didn't have her daughter so I was a lil confused when she told me she remembered me from the gym on Friday. What a small world. She's got a 7 week old daughter, very cute.

After church we went to lunch at the Hoppy Brewing Company on Folsom Blvd. The food was excellent and the babies enjoyed themselves.

Overstimulated Once Again

Saturday's birthday party for Alexander and Gabriella at the Laguna Awesome Jump place...turned out to be some crazy fest with sixty five kids and at least a parent or two for each of those kids. I think Deanna held up a sign on the corner inviting random people to come to the party.

I have to admit there were some friendly tall ladies... I'm talking over 6 ft 4... they were so tall, one was quite fascinated with the babies... She stood around talking to me and them for at least twenty minutes, and came back a couple times to boot. The babies seemed happy to put on a talk show and smile a million times for her.

Then came the stranger... she was talking to me.. i talked back for awhile - and then I decided to ignore her... and then she kept wanting to hold the baby and I kept pretending not to hear her... Yes... I AM MEAN.... the babies were talking and talking... it was time to eat, and I tried to feed Sydney out in the waiting area where it was quiet.. but she just wanted to chat... Peyton didn't mind nursing.. she nursed double because Sydney didn't wanna eat and Peyton didn't want to let anything go to waste.

Bianca went to stay the night with Uncle Rudy, Aunt Andria, Dominic and DJ.

When we got home from the party the cry fest began.... both babies were screaming and crying and wanting mama... and mama only has two hands, and daddy wasn't cutting it. Eventually he'd give up and I'm calm one baby and then pick up the next and the calm baby would begin to cry again.... this went on for over an hour... finally I got Peyton to sleep and then worked on Sydney... YEAH... peace and quiet.

Friday's Open House

Today was an early day for Bianca, so it was an early day for the rest of us too. Sydney and Peyton didn't sleep in today, so I got to wake up about 730. The girls were all smiles this morning, we played until they got tired and then they drifted off for a lil while - gave me time to update the blog and get ready for the day. Bianca got out of school at 1220 today, so the girls and i took a ride (i was hoping to get them to fall asleep before I got to the gym). The babies stayed awake. When we got to the gym, Sydney was asleep, but Peyton was wide awake. I nursed her a lil bit and then her and Bianca hung out while Sydney slept and I rode the bike. I did fifteen minutes and then Syd woke up. I put her in the swing and we talked, she was happy. I rode five minutes with Peyton before moving onto the machines. I did the machines and then took Sydney on a five minute bike ride too... Bianca was anxious to get outta the gym, she was bored.... ~rolls eyes~

We got home and everyone was sleepy (me and the babies). We took a nap. Now we're getting ready for Open House.

Thursday at the Governors Mansion

Today was the day Bianca got her Heritage Essay Award at the Governors Mansion. There were lots of kids being acknowledged. Bianca and Madison were the two fourth graders from her school to get the awards. I took a few pictures during the ceremony. After the cake and punch we took a tour of the lower level of the Governors Mansion. Bianca really enjoyed it. She's looking forward to going back for the entire tour of the mansion.

work out weigh in

I went to Sutter Pregna Gym today... My sister (AMY), Sydney and Peyton enjoyed the air conditioned gym for a lil while. Sydney and Peyton looked like wine o's sitting on Tia's lap while mama hit the weights and rode the bike. I thought I was just signing up... but I ended up working out... I wore my adidas flips... I will be wearing tennis shoes from now on. It felt awesome to work out. They even have yoga. I'm gonna try and get myself back into the yoga thing. I know it's not gonna be anything like the Bikram Yoga I'm used to doing. (well used to do a couple years ago). I'm hoping Brandy will start going to the sutter pregna gym too.. I'm sure Jack will enjoy hanging out with Bianca, Sydney and Peyton.

After the work out we went to Sutter to weigh the girls.

Sydney weighed in at 13 lbs 14.7 oz
Peyton weighted in at 12 lbs 1.3 oz

those are after nursing weights. Syd took 3 oz and Peyton took 2 oz.

Mothers Day

I got some great cards for mothers day. I always enjoy the cards from the kids, Ben always writes their names on the characters... this card had six lil birds in a nest... so even Brandie and Jada (the dogs) got to be a part of the card. It was very sweet. Daddy's card was up next... he was being so secretive about it the night before.... to my surprise he got a fun card, also bird themed... a singing telegram - "with sweet love and devotion.... I wanna stop and thank you baby.... how sweet it is to be loved by you" very cool I was stoked.

I kid you not... he gave me the same exact card three years in a row - but it was an anniversary card.... I'm wondering if I'll get it again this year ~lmao~

We made the rounds. We went to my parents first, hung out for a lil while. the pool was looking sparkling clean and calling our names... I'm looking forward to taking a dip soon. They are in the middle of remodeling so to speak... they've got some painting to do... My dad's business is flourishing right now, they've got lots of work and he's trying to get some more crews out working. He's realy excited. He stopped smoking about a month ago... I'm really proud of him, he's been smoking for probably close to thirty years. Keep up the good work dad. Anyhow the babies had lots of fun, laughing and smiling with Nana and Papa. After that we went to visit Papa and Grandma. We hung out and played some more... the babies were on a roll, they were tired from the day before, I think they slept lots. we BBQ'd and went back home to relax.

RACE FOR THE CURE

Friday night we wanted to go to sleep early... that didn't work out. I finally got the babies to sleep around midnight, I climbed right into bed and I was out quickly, Bianca was sleeping with me... she was kicking, and then at 2:39 Peyton woke up, I wandered out to the livingroom and nursed her, I fell asleep for a few minutes, then I put her back in the co sleeper and took Sydney out to nurse her. I was back in bed by 330. Then Peyton woke up at 530, I nursed her, then crawled back into bed wiht Sydney, I slept while she nursed, or dozed off. I was up at 600 getting ready for the race. Didn't take long to get ready, nursed the babies a lil bit before my sister arrived at 700 (late)... we hit starbucks for a fix.. of course mine was decaf... amy tasted it.. she didn't like it... we parked at Mervyns, the street was crazy - we walked about half a mile to get to the race. There were so many people, it was amazing to see everyone come together like that. We got to do a cool workout before the race started, we had lots of fun. Bianca made fun of us as we got our groove on. The babies enjoyed the morning air. Sydney slept most of the time and Peyton was awake. Next year we're gonna try and run, I'll have the jogging stroller by then, and won't be worrying about feeding the babies. We had snacks after the race and headed home.

Andres first communion party. We hit the party about 1130. Bianca was all dressed up to go, brand new dress, then she decided to wear shorts because ben and I didn't want to get dressed up. It was HOT... and we were going swimming after the party. It was really HOT at the party. We got our grub on. The babies enjoyed the party, moving from relative to relative.. but spending most of the time with Papa and Grandma... I was just the milk machine... at uncle rafa's the kids all swam. the pool was warm, I almost wished I brought my suit.. almost... the babies dipped their toes in the water, they didn't like it much. we hung out til six... I was beat down tired by the time we got home...
